You really discredit the list by excluding the likes of Ultima Online , Asherons Call, Anarchy Online and Everquest .. But include Perfect World , 2 Runescapes .. etc..

But mines Ultima oNline easily
I agree lol was just throwing the ones out in the top of my head but i'm definitely beating myself up now for missing those classics

its cool .. could of been a bit better of list as DAoC pointed out above ..thats still alot of peoples favorite game as well as SWG is missing ..ughh and Bless made it a 3x failed Alpha game ...
I voted other, as I have yet to find an MMORPG that I totally love. I played a lot of EQ1 and enjoyed my time there, but it left a lot to be desired for me. I play a lot Wizard101 currently, but it is a very limited game and King's Ilse has made that game all about money, not fun. [edit] I should expound by saying when you defeat a big bad boss (BBB), you see a chest for loot. In order to open that chest, you HAVE to spend "crowns" (real life money) not in game gold that you get by playing. [/edit]
City of Heroes would be the closest, I guess. Maybe I should have voted for that one. The game was good but not spectacular. It was the other players that seemed so like minded, generally acting like heroes, not dickwads that made the game so fun and enjoyable. We used to argue over who would run from a fight-gone-bad and who would sacrifice to save the others. Empathy Defenders always lost that argument as they had to be alive in order to resurrect the others
Basically, I'm still waiting for the MMORPG that can attract the same kind of players that I am. One that is focused on what it aims to do and does it well. It doesn't even try to be "everything to everyone." I'll be waiting a long, long time

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse. - FARGIN_WAR

Can't edit the poll either. Oh man, i don't post much and this is why haha i completely suck at it but it's all in good fun at least!
Guild Wars 1 if you're willing to call it an MMORPG. If you insist that it isn't an MMORPG, then Uncharted Waters Online. Both options conveniently show up in your poll as "other", which looks like it is going to win in a landslide.
Normally I vote for Meridian (first love) or Vanguard (one of the few very open worlds with open dungeons, complex crafting,...) but I voted for TESO as it delivers nearly everything (public dungeons, good stories, many instances, raids, RvR, battlegrounds, learning by doing, fixed max level, housing, many roleplay options, real RPG features like stealing, assasinations,... And many more.) It has its issues but putting the nostalgic glasses besides it delivers much more in a better quality as most of my old-school favorites which are mostly voted because of lower expectations and a more tight community back in the days.
If I had to pick one from that list it would have to be ESO.
I voted other - Star Wars Galaxies. Even though being a huge buggy/unbalanced mess I enjoyed how one day you could be a dancing tera kasi master and the next be an animal taming medic.
Darkfall -- original edition with all of its flaws and I know there were many. But nothing beats the sheer expansiveness of the world and all the cool stuff I found in it and people I met along the way (most were not griefers, by the way).
A lot of contrarians here, so "other" is always going to be the big winner.
Otherwise, I've put 3 solid years into ESO, but while it feels the most comfortable and the best in terms of overall quality and longevity for me, doesn't come near what I felt with Darkfall -- thrill, danger, adventure, discovery....
I know you admitted that your poll is deeply flawed, but seriously? Perfect World Online? Bless Online? Albion? Wildstar? You could have included Tabula Rasa while you were at it.
You also included two (2) versions of Runescape and none of the Classic titles that made the history of MMORPGs (EQ,EQ2,AC,DaoC,AO,UO,SWG)?
What were you thinking?
Also Darkfall with all its flaws should be in the list too, since it is one of the most original MMORPG ever made and possibly the only FFA PVP game that was somehow succesful (at least for a couple of years).
it says WOW but there's no checkbox LOL. 70% other says this list isn't very good lol
For me it probably goes:
WOW
LOTRO
SWTOR
GW2
I never had an interest in EQ or UO nor did I even try AC or DAOC. SWG had too many flaws when I looked into it, mainly Jedi and know space combat. It was too late to get me by the time they addressed those things.
