Yes, actually two people. Nothing romantic but one of my longtime gamer buddies and i ride bikes together and go camping. We met through WoW of all places. We have been friends since 2004.
Another Friend I met in PS2, we stay in touch and even met up for coffee and gaming when I was in VA doing a contract.
I have others I have "known" for a long time, but those two I call RL friends.
Hard to believe giving my charming personality. I am no less abrasive IRL being honest.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

I dont think ive ever met any one in real life, but kudos to those who have
Same here. And I've honestly never had the desire to meet anyone in real life that I've encountered online. What happens on the internets, stays on the internets as far as I'm concerned.
You wouldn't have a drink with me ? Come on...
There are a good number of people in here that I'd like to have a drink with. Pull up a chair mate, what ya having?

Back in 2000, my mom was going through cancer treatments and had to stop working for awhile, so I had her make a character on my EQ account and showed her how to play to take up some of that time at home during the day and keep her entertained while she was forced to rest. I had just started college and was doing more social things than gaming at the time, anyway, so my account became hers pretty quickly. She talked to a guy a few states away in game for a long time before meeting him, and they've been married for 14 years now. I was 20 when I met him, so it's hard to think of him as my "step dad" per se, but he's a good dude and has been good for my mom and my younger sisters, and I consider him a friend.
As for me? Nope. Not the most social guy in game or in life. It's hard enough staying in touch with the good friends I've known my whole life.
When I first started playing online games in the 2002- 2003 era I had a few really good friends I met online and eventually in person, however they all stopped playing online games. Keep in touch via calls and what not, but no one since that time frame.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

That's true but it is possible to make friends with people who you meet online.
Though "connections" CAN be friends as well. It doesn't define the type of connection, just that you have made some sort of connection with another person.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

I agree, I only brought it up because I was about to post and realized I could answer yes to the thread title but not the OP.

My Old EQ guild used to have gatherings, literally, we would have people from across the country and in some cases, across the world, come and go camping together for a week-end. So I had met literally dozens of people in real life from a game. Which was really cool.
When I finally quit EQ, it was like breaking a drug addiction, I dropped everything and walked away from gaming entirely for years. Now I play MMO's again, but I guess like a former addict, I keep it in a controlled space. Never too long.. never too much... never again.
With that said, I love games and I love the social part of them, I met my wife in an online game, way back in the day with AOL and dial up and Text based MUD's.. so.. Yah.. I love meeting people in game, and still today, sometimes, run across them in real life as I travel for work.. so in some cases it will be like, if I am going to be going near where someone might live, I'll offer to stop there to hit them up for a pizza and a beer.
Egotism is the anesthetic that dullens the pain of stupidity, this is why when I try to beat my head against the stupidity of other people, I only hurt myself.
I have meet a few. To this day I still keep in touch with them 1 of them is a Dad now and cant get enough sleep - but we promised him to carry him like a wounded soldier when Pantheon gets released. The other guys are game Devs and It-Securty geeks such as me. So we still find time to play.
