I'll try and word it in a way to understand it but i'll likely struggle.

The idea of building a game MUST be organized and well thought out, that is a given.Ok now WHY would people fund your ideas, well they are either blind melons or they SEE your ideas and like them.

Ok you see where i am going? So this so called "testing" and so called "feedback",NOBODY can tell me that every single player is on the same page and agreeing with each other,so WHOM are they listening to and WHY are they making changes based on what a few people but definitely not EVERYONE.

Once you start flip flopping ideas, then what has been funded, well not the original ideas. So there is an ongoing phase of forever changing the ideas and how they work and there is a forever phase of people agreeing, disagreeing ,some happy some not.

You CANNOT build a game properly like this.It MUST be as i stated in the first sentence,a WELL thought out plan, that is followed through.Do NOT implement ideas TOO fast without putting enough thought into it,otherwise you end up like Blizzard, nerf this and nerf that and boost that ,it becomes a never ending game of proving the developer doesn't know what it is doing..If after awhile the team decides some of the design is not right, you can NEVER please all the backers because you are changing the game, you must make the changes as a knowledgeable game designer and NOT based on a few people who don't like the present design.

I wonder if people really reflect on what has been happening to the gaming market over the past 5 years and believe it should be 'normal.' The general community is getting hyped over paying into testing phases of games that may not even be officially released or do get released only to flop within a year. Do I think Crowfall will fail? Maybe. But these guys sure do like to talk a lot.

If you have been reflecting over the game market the last 5 years, you'd understand that most of these games don't get made if people don't buy them before they are made. Like it or not, that is the reality in which we currently live.

If everyone refused to contribute to crowdfunding, there'd be far fewer games for people to bitch about.

What kind of ridiculousness are you spouting now... the only change was to unlock the race-class archetypes in 2017 when a private funding investment came in that afforded that change that everyone wanted. It cost us 6 months delay. There are no other changes to any of the mechanics outlined in the KS... we are getting exactly what we contributed to... passive skills, all gear crafted by players, full player run economy, fun PvP, Shadowbane II feel.

Your post is so rambling and has no specifics about what you refer to as flip-flopping... yes you are struggling, probably because you have no intention of playing in a PvP sandbox and have no understanding of the player economy loop or any of the other game loops that we are currently testing. They listen to those who test the most, those who contributed the most, those who report bugs and issues. In the mean time they mostly keep trudging through the engineering phase to put the rest of the mechanics and features in without that much input beforehand... then we tell them how to make it work and be fun.
