Today's a big day in the Bless Online world with the announcement that the game is going free to play on October 23rd. We managed to catch up to Neowiz developers to learn more about what players can look forward to in the future and what compensation players who purchased the game in Early Access can expect.

    MMORPG.com did ask in a very media friendly way about what improvements had been made since launch. But all Neowiz did was talk about improvements to content. Unless all these core gameplay issues we heard about have been resolved which I rather doubt, it might have been an idea to focus in on them?

    When all else fails, go F2P.
    The damage was already done, the game still runs poorly, combat system sucks.

    I doubt this game will have more then 2k+ active players...

    Kind of surprising in the number of times the game has been launched and failed, that the reasons why it has failed so many times now doesn't seem to have been really addressed, as for going F2P, that isn't exactly a new thing for Bless and i don't see how it changes anything.  :/

    Haha was waiting on the game to go f2p and while I knew it would happen sooner rather than later this is faster than I expected lmao.

    Quick, but was it quick enough? I know many people who thought F2P was the plan all along, and founders packs and early access was only ever sold to quickly cash in and recoup costs of making the game itself. Now they will likely drop to a skeleton crew, with an update here and there to keep F2P players paying. This really should not come as a shock to anyone at all, except maybe some who got alittle too hyped about what was always going to be a disappointing showing.

    I look forward to seeing how many stick with it after the conversion. I need more guild members. :p
    Also as a current player I am fine with the compensation for buying it at launch of EA :) 
    Thanks for making it possible for a scummy freeloader such as myself to come play for a little while!

    How can a game which is didnt published still in early beta they say going to F2P? So it shows they was lie every day and just want more money now Im sure its going to p2w. I just want my money back you can keep your tokens, costumes. Garbage all.

    Game is not pay to win it is only pay for faster progression there have been countless discussions about what makes a game pay to win and in this case a higher percentage of people will agree pay to progress faster is not PTW . It's not like there putting lvl 50 dungeon gear in the store that you can't get in game or weapons or the ability to buy gold directly in the shop.. I would like to know if the people calling Bless Online PTW have ever even played the game or looked into the steam version of the game.. as for it's eastern releases which I can't speak form Expierence about have been know to have many pay to win elements. World of Warcraft is 1000 times more ptw then Bless Online. But I don't think that will last forever.

    Quoted for truth. For everything wrong with Bless, I was surprised by how not P2W it actually is. Never let facts get in the way of some proper bashing though, especially with Bless...

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    The funnier thing was that it was f2p the first 3 times and decided to go B2P....cause thats the reason it failed those other 3 times, right Neowiz...?

    Neowiz will be the first Korean developer/distributor to take a game that was P2W 3 times in 3 different countries and go F2P with absolutely no P2W... in the US market?

    Whe an asian developer says there game is going to be none P2W and cosmetic only I have to wonder but is truth I was waiting for this announcement before I got into it so thank you Neowiz for this I will be there on the 23rd.

    Well it has come a long way since its Terrible EA Launch imo.  Just checked the Steam Charts and its actually up to 500 from its 300 prior.  I think at this point its going FTP is "a way" to see if they can revitalize their game.  I think they would need to average 3-5k daily average if they are too look at it as a success after the new wave tries things out.  We'll see.

    Hmmm, F2P... wouldn't hurt to try. I just looked at the website and I'm intrigued by a couple of the races, especially that neutral race of little cuties. I have a feeling it will be like all the other games though and whatever you play it is going to be mostly click-n-kill.

    Well WHY would anyone pay money for premium if there is no benefit,in other words p2w?
    It's going f2p with no p2w but BUY IT NOW to receive special perks...lol.

    When you take on a raid fight,the object is to WIN to get something special others might not have.Paying money to Neowiz to get something others won't have is PAY TO WIN.

    I was thinking about it.

    But if i want big pvp sieges (AND I DO), the grandpappy of the asian pvp siege games just opened their offical classic servers. I am currently in an 800 person queue....

    My main point was about honesty.

    Do you think they are going to tell you they plan to slowly ad more and worse pay to everything in the cash shop?

    I've seen enough games do cash grabs that this just screams it miles away. Get ready for more. I highly expect to see news on P2W crap in this game in the future. Like predicting a sunrise.
