Blizzard has announced that it is hosting another World of Warcraft live developer Q&A on October 11th. This time, the topic will be the upcoming 8.1 patch, Tides of Vengeance. Game Director Ion Hazzikostas will be on hand to tackle questions submitted on the WoW forums or via social media using the hashtag #WarcraftQA.

    Same. My subscription expired a couple weeks ago. I keep close tabs on the game via the forums and Reddit and so forth, but I honestly haven't missed it yet and have no plans to go back until 8.2, if at all.

    Sad panda about it. First couple of weeks were very promising then it was like pulling back the curtain on the wizard.

    I don't think the dev team fully grasps just how much they've missed the mark with the end-game this expansion.  Not even just gameplay; they seem to have taken what has been a pretty cool story throughout the leveling process, and have now managed to piss off multiple groups of lore buffs with their actions regarding Sylvanas, Saurfang, Tyrande, and the others.

    They've somehow managed to place all 3 of these figures in positions that none of the character fans seem to enjoy, and I haven't seen a lot of promise regarding the other major characters, though not all has been revealed yet..  It's really quite interesting to see.

    That is the theme of this expansion.....we know you rather be doing this....but we want you to do that. 


    Edit: You know I actually got suspended from the WoW forums because I made a thread stating the forums are more entertaining than the expansion? Seriously lol, not exaggerating...no foul language or anything. Dissent is being squashed now.

    To quote users of this forum. You probably did more than that to get suspended. Other than that yea its a pathetic end game.

    I think I might just finally be over gated content that is "Do X amount of quests that we allow you to do each week to farm X reputation to get arguably nothing". There is nothing for me to do anymore other than world quests and maybe find a group for the raid. I can go farm old content for cosmetics but at this point, I've done that every other expansion. I could go PvP but they removed all incentive to PvP. Even getting attuned for a raid back in the day felt better than current endgame. 

    This expansion really isn't that fun.

    Yeah..... there are quest lines in which the lore is paradox (at its best). One time you are betraying this person (it's implied you chose to betray that person, even when it's not actualy your choice) to later go back and side with said character as if nothing ever happened.

    It's weird.
    It honestly feels as if the encounter and quest design team are now dictating to the writers the events of the game.  I feel like that's backwards, and results in story and lore that's incredibly inconsistent.

    I dunno how those things usually work, but I can't help but feel that way.  Case in point: it feels like the lead devs stormed into the writers' office after Zappy Boi became a thing and said "HE'S AN IMPORTANT PLOT CHARACTER NOW.  MAKE IT HAPPEN."

    It was good the 1st two weeks, but once you hit 340+, there is not point of playing anymore. Warfronts are the most bored thing in the WoW history, well no, expeditions are even worse. And i'm not even talking about a War xpac without any real War.

    I guess I am in the minority here, I am loving the game still. Maybe it's because my main class is really fun to play right now, Fury Warrior.

    As someone who has played Forsaken since 2005 I am really liking Sylvanas's story to be honest.

    It's extremely boring now.  Just my opinion.  I'm having a really hard time logging in now.  When I do log in, it's for raid commitments only.

    I went back to the game and I'm really enjoying. Surprisingly owning pvp as a pve rogue. And I'm having fun but the flaws are there for sure.
    Agreed, the expansion has its charm.  The zones are incredibly well done.  But Blizzard's reputation for quality meant what we might merely sigh in resignation at with smaller, indie titles is jarring coming from Blizzard.  In a way, it compliments Blizzard's earned reputation even while it warns that reputation might be in jeopardy.

    The disappointment im having all comes back to me wanting to make wow more like diablo. Since im a solo player and dont really like repeating dungeons (dont like the lfd tool for mythic and mythic + but i do like normals and heroics way of doing it) im finding i miss legendaries- new talents to try - a game mode that lets me upgrade my gear that i can grind for (rep and world wuests are fine but once i cap them out i dont have any means of progression like a paragon system. And its not fun to just get higher numbers- but to try different builds out, which diablo uses set bonus’ on top of being able to change skills out. So yeah instead of me whining about how i wish wow had this or that i just decided that i really just want a new diablo game and that i will move on from wow.

    My main issue with BFA is the rng of the azerite gear and emissary cache. Like what's the point of giving us 370 gear with crappy traits that makes it worse than the 340 someone has, and then with the emissary cache crap scales to our Ilvl.... Sure it sounds good but what's the point of im 360 ilvl and youryo giving me 350 ilvl gear. It makes doing what's already boring content even less appealing l.

    First time playing wow. The game is actually rather bland leveling up, but I'm determined to level up a character from level 1 to 120.

    The hardest thing for me was picking a class. I have never been so undecided with choosing a class in an mmo. Picked Druid in the end. It's pretty fun.

    For story and questing areas, BFA sits right next to WOTLK as the best wow has done (imo). Everything else in the game, places it as one of the worst exp for me.

    Having played both alliance and Hordes stories to completion, I think Jainas was head and shoulders above the rest and those in-game cinematics were fantastic. I just wish the rest of the game was done as well. No reason to play beyond the stories for me.

    I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

    What a disapointing expansion this has been...the story was the only thing that kept me playing wow but the way they are keep being horde bias is too much for me...when was the last time the alliance won a battle?
    In cata we lose Gilneas
    In MOP we lose Theramore
    Now we lose Darnassus, we invade undercity and dont even win the fight on our terms... We invade Zuldazar and we lose a leader, Jaina gets wounded, and the horde loses Rastakhan, who was just introduced...big loss there, wow...meanwhile nathanos manages to 1v1 vs a powered up Tyrande! Are you fucking kidding me here.... Unless sylvannas dies this expansion, i am totally done with wow. Anduin is a fucking pussy, we will never win anything with him as leader
