Having a real hard time getting excited to play this. Im a huge Bethesda fanboy but im not sure Fallout's gunplay or any of Bethesda game's combat is good enough to make it the feature of any of their games. Essentially you strip away vats....You strip away NPC Humans and NPC thriving towns... You rework the skill tree and replace it with trading cards or whatever the hell the new system is....You make a diet version of story telling and suddenly the game doesn't feel so RPG anymore. Sure looks like your standard survival game, Battle Royale 76 when ?

I realize this is Bethesda's attempt to throw their hat into the survival MMO ring the same way bioware tried making a MMORPG with SWTOR and its cool they are trying different things. But at the end of the day is this really what Bethesda fans were asking for ? I know i wasn't.

Not saying I won't buy this, cause i know i will but id be lying if i didn't say this is the least excited i have ever been for a Bethesda RPG....errrr scratch that .......Bethesda Survival game

hard to say if it will be for me. I need the story and NPCs. . I do like survival games without those though. . I guess it depends how well they do that part. Sometimes too much of a hybrid leads to not much of anything. I, also, never played Fallout as an FPS. I am sure some people will love this. I might just wait on the next single player game.

Primitive graphic engine and clunky control scheme spoils everything. It's like they are trying to make it compatible not only with consoles but with phones too.

I have to agree with @thunderc. This really doesn't look like a Fallout game as much as it looks like a gankfest with a theme.

Probably should have named it DayG.

Read the preview, and the info from Game Informers too. It’s not going to be a gank fest. It’s not open PVP.

Like what I viewed, MMORPG.com did a good job with this and the other story.

Any one else's radar go off at the mention of "perk card packs?" Perhaps I'm overly sensitive but this item seems perfect for a RNG cash shop.

I believe you are going to be vastly disappointed by this game. The PvP is really not very viable.

Bethesda has already confirmed that you cannot spend real money (Atoms) on the perk cards and microtransactions would be purely for cosmetic purposes--and you can also gain Atoms by doing ingame activities.

So far all systems are fair and not a hint of P2W. I believe they are going to bank on DLCs, a game that is supposedly going to run forever needs a lot of those. And to be honest, I'm happy with that setup.

While it has been confirmed perk card packs wont be sold in the cash shop, they will be tradable between players.

I can see that leading to black market trading outside of the game for cash.

I understand your concern but I doubt that'll have much effect on the overall experience. Because when it's legal, then the game keeps encouraging you to make such investments. When it gets your account banned is another story.

Anyways it's the wasteland mate, every man is for himself! Unless they allow crossplay then let's group up and beat the crap of others! ;)

Sadly for we PVP aficionados I think the game is going to badly miss the mark. Could be wrong though, we'll just have to wait and see.
I hate to say this... but the game will really need designated PvP servers to make it focused enough for solid PvP.  The current server setup is just too random, and players have too many options to avoid PvP.

Card pack, lootbox, all the same.
If they weren't planning on selling them why make their content random?

Perhaps to foster trading between players, but I  dunno.
