Do you guys think Cyberpunk 2077 will top this record?
Not a chance, RDR is very well known, Cyberpunk 2077, not so much.
How can you not know about Cyberpunk 2077 with Witcher 3's popularity?
That's because CP is a new IP  by a very good studio. The  Witcher series  is a popular, successful  established series for them.  Your analogy is like saying that Biowares Anthem will be good  because of  of the popularity of SWTOR and or Mass Effect Andromeda.

im loving the game. i laugh so hard when i see PC elitists complaining cus they cant play it. i was PC only until destiny then i bought a console. i now own every console and can play any game that releases. see, im a gamer. not a PC gamer or console gamer. A GAMER. so while people complain or have to wait for it to release on their platform, im already playing it.
    Yay?

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

I don't own the platform for this game so it makes no difference if it fails or succeeds - I can't play it regardless.
    Console only?
    Western?
     "Action" combat?
     Single player?

Can't see any positives for me, but I really don't care if it succeedes or fails. Although isn't it already a hit?

I almost picked up an old xbox one to play this (I already am subbed to game pass for a few PC games so I would get a lot more out of that as well).  then I read about the resolution.  I think it will launch on PC so I will wait. . if it doesn't I will grab an xbox one X in a year or so.

Wa min God! Se æx on min heafod is!

Are there any articles that include the quote included in that video?  Again, I googled for any statement quoted from CDPR about Cyberpunk having both viewpoints, but found nothing.
To answer your question no, sry for speculation link.

I thought I read a thread that their initial goal was to include both perspectives ( not sure if it was stated that it was going to be a mix or the intention was to let the player decide which they wanted to use ).

I cant seem to find it anymore as their forums had a reorganization in april, stuff was moved stuff was removed. https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/forum-reorganization.10762841/

The links in this thread from 2013 https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/1st-person-or-3rd-person.27359/ that lead the OP to forum threads for in game character perspectives are dead. Now whether its because of the forum reorganization or from a purge who knows.

FarCry 5 - This is how you do DLC. It's like getting 4 games in one. The DLC aren't as extensive as the main game, but they're sturdy and pieces of the main game shaved off in a cash grab.
I really wish that FC5 had an alternate 3rd person mode. Sometimes I can play for awhile and sometimes I start to get nauseous and when that happens i tend to drop off playing it.
And like most games that get me motion sick I put it off for so long that when I do want to try again to finish it I forget what I was doing why in the story.
