Your favorite MMO ever.

At the moment i am playing EQ2, its pretty good i previously played EQ1 and i have to say although the second one is a little dumbed down i actually prefer it this way, there is little is any downtime anymore.

I've played SWG, L2, WOW and they just did not hold my attention although all of them seems so promising.

But i have to say i'd like to start another one, the everquest universe is getting a little too old for me, so what are your favorite MMO's games?

Same question asked a million times before. UO was and will be remembered as the best mmorpg there ever was. Even though its better to do something else than play mmorpgs nowadays, I still play on my UO memories from time to time ;)

original release SWG, with its bugs and all.  It was just like living there, with all its unfairness/buggyness, it made you blood boil, it felt like actually exploring those planets, u really, really got emotionally involved in the game.

    1) RF Online for now, sure its crazy grind and everyone looks the same, but i have a great guild and rally fun pvp.

    2) I also really liked CoH.

    3) And Guild Wars was pretty good, everyone had different skills even if they looked the same.

It's really close between the original Star Wars Galaxies and Everquest II, but I'd say EQ2 is my favorite all time mmorpg.  It just offered the perfect balance of action/adventure with a lot of roleplaying and a great community.  The game steadily improved, and still is.  It looks great and runs great on my system.  I've had so much fun playing over the past year and a half, it still hasn't gotten old for me (I just don't have the time I used to :( )

Star Wars Galaxies, Dark Age of Camelot, and Everquest are all close seconds on my all-time favorite mmorpg list.

    Oooooooooh.....
    Final Fantasy XI.

It feels like I actually did something worthwhile instead of only leveling up in WoW just to PvP more.

    Neptus - FFXI - Pandemonium
    Neptus - WoW - Detheroc

I must say, PRE-CU SWG was the greatest.  That game took over my spare time.

Funny how much shorter this thread is compared to the 'least favorite' thread

Currently, my favorite MMO is Guildwars. I love PvP, and I think, especially with the addition of Factions, GW has the best, most well thought out PvP on the market.  Guildwars also fits my life very well, which is an extremely important thing in a game.  I don't have endless hours to devote to say, traveling from one part of the universe to another in EVE.

SWG on release....no speeders. It felt like you were really exploring the planets, finding new shops and  certain guild areas. SWG was emersive then.......not what it has become today.

    My first, SWG pre-CU.

I guess you always feels best for your first. Or strongest for your first. That was the game that raised you in the online world and tought you all about how games could be played with tons of other people.

But I have to give SWG a reward of uniqueness though. Though being a broken game it's idea was the best I've seen so far. It forced people to be social and meet with eachother, you only had one character (unless you subscribed for multiple accounts) which ment your reputation would have to be watched about.

It hurts to see what happened to the game... above anything, if you leave a game, it's still THERE and even though you don't want to play it you still know that you CAN. Now I both WANT to play the game and CAN'T at the same time ...

SWG had alot of stuff going, but it was precisely when everyone said "This can be the ultimate game" when it was ruined. Everyone waited for the CU, we thought "now comes something huge! This might be it, the final touch the game needed". But oh my god was everyone blindfolded...

Anyway I only go on about like this because it's another one of these threads I have answered a 100 times :)

Pre-cu swg was #1 and I dont think any mmo will ever be as fun as it used to be. FU SOE for killing it!

Well for me, id have to say my current favorite is WoW.

Yes its a tad easy, yes its technically a grind, but somehow, Ive enjoyed it. I dont get to play for hours on end, and I like taking my time, instead of rushing through everything, so with the somewhat ease that WoW creates for its players, I find myself able to enjoy it while not being stressed out as in some games.

The pvp, well I dont play on a pvp server, so all I get to experience is the Battleground, and frankly I enjoy them. The community can be shit, if your playing on a pvp server, but on pve and rp, the community tends to be, imo, much better, and more mature. And while it is true that some servers have more mature horde than allaince, Ive seen about the same amount of immaturity on both sides, though due to alliance usually having more in numbers, it seems most prevailant there. I have even had friends say that some of the servers they have tried the horde were more immature. I also find that horde tend to be a little less friendly and more elitist than the alliance...but you find that in every game, regardless.

So yep, I like WoW, im probably a carebear, but I dont care, cause im having fun.

I also enjoy Anarchy Online (Which has kinda fallen from grace for me) and Dark Age of Camelot (I loved it when I played it 3 years ago..I came back...just didnt feel the same.

    There you have it.

Earth and Beyond. To this date no game has come close in the area of character development as that game.

    Everquest 2

I like the unique quests, fast action, awesome graphics, great sound, and excellent combat.
