If the current pace/timeline holds we should get an expansion announcement soon. Will be interesting to see what they do with it, though i'm only an observer these days.

Installed the game a couple of hours ago, haven't purchased it yet tho since Black Friday is coming. Will wait to see if there will be a deal for then, but even if there isn't gonna buy it anyway since the current state of WoW is just sad.

Of you think WoW is sad, you haven't seen anything yet. But gratz on making a comparison even though you probably aren't even past level 20 or something. Lol

I've tried WoW a lot personally, and I felt similar. The pacing of the dungeons was so fast that they were totally unenjoyable- lots of neat architecture/ect, and enemy types, but you may as well be skipping them all on anything outside endgame, since it's over in like five minutes. It's not a terrible game, but as a new player (I got up to 85, mind), it wasn't the most enjoyable experience.

I played both enough to know FFXIV is a far superior game over Wow but in many ways is an identical experience.FFXIV just adds a few new ideas that a Wow player would have never seen before but both games are predominantly instance gear scores,a very sad direction in game design that i think Square copied off of Blizzard.

I see a gear based game,i laugh and ignore it,terrible way to taker a player out of the equation and make it all about the gear.A major difference is aggro systems,Wow is still ancient and simple, the FF series did aggro systems better than any mmorpg ever.Wow has scaling, terrible idea on top of many other terrible ideas in Wow.

Bottom line for me is always instances for top content and gear scores, that makes BOTH games a fail.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

What do you mean by haven't see anything yet? Are you referring to WoW or FF? If it's about WoW I have 26k achievement points, over 400 mounts, realm firsts and rank 13 and 14 chars, played since early alpha and was among the first 500 players in the world to test it out, so as far as it comes to WoW I've seen everything. It's current state is garbage.
As for FF I have no idea if it's better or not, but at least as someone who has never played it I'll have actual content to do unlike with WoW.

Seriously some times the response from people crack me up. I don't understand why you are so aggressive, but I would assume it's the lack of proper content in WoW.

I haven't played WoW in... quite a long time, but I've played it enough to know what I'm talking about. Citing how many mounts or achievements a game has is not really saying much. FFXIV is full of fluid- even more than WoW.

And people saying the dungeons in wow9are Yoko fast paced have probably not done one of FF14's 8 minute dungeons... for real, people.

I'm not really playing MMOs these days.

I bought FF14, leveled two classes to max, and did lots of dungeons and a few raids. It is not that good, or fun, to me
