Legend of Ares Fun and exciting Free MMORPG

Featuring:

Player vs. Player

Honor System
When a player kills another player from a rival nation or guild, they will receive one honor point. When a player is defeated by another player from the rival nation, one honor point is taken away. When a player accumulates a certain number of honor points, he/she will receive a rank within their nation's standing. The general rule of rank is: the higher rank a player achieves the greater the bonus that player will get towards his attack and defense power (see Ranking System on website).

National War
Fight players from your rival nation to increase your ability through rank and honor points! While players will begin their journey in "safe" zones, there will be areas of the map later in the game where both nations must venture. Players should be on their guard when in these areas!

Guild War
Player-created guilds will help players to level, hunt, and quest; but that's not all. Guilds will be able to wage war against each other regardless of nation-association, and can even band together to form alliances against their enemies. Alliance vs. Alliance and/or Guild vs. Guild warfare will be another way for players to achieve rank and honor points.

Territorial War
There will be organized Nation vs. Nation events where players of each nation will fight for control of areas of the map. Each area will have their respective bonuses to bestow on the winning side in addition to increasing the size of the player's nation. In this way, players will have a direct impact on their nation's prosperity as well as an impact in the progression of the story. Needless to say, Territorial War will be a great way for players to gain rank through honor points.

    When any other western MMO would compare to: Half-life 2

    Hmm Maybe gameplay wasnt the corect word for me to use :)

    Pong... Half life 2.. ok.

    For those that aint played Legend of Ares its basicaly like all the other korean grind games but a good point is that if your competitive, then the game will probabily be out within a month and everybodys char's are the same level... you get what i mean :D

    If you like games based on good graphics or games like WoW this aint gona be for you.  But if you've played games like knight online, priston tale tantra and such and liked them, then its worth downloading it and giving it a go why its in beta, although the game will be free to play i believe anyway.

    Ok, now that is something I might agree with. Ares - like all the other korean games , is bland as pizza margerita. You spawn at lvl 1 spawning point and go out to kill mob that has virtually no AI , you do that until you level up ... and repeat.
    So in that term Ares is no worse than the other games (Lineage 2 is like that for cryingout loud)

    Right now i would put Ares above Knight online but under Silkroad ...

    Silkroad? Thats like a freaking wussy game. dont even compare the two. I want the war that there is in LoA. You cry about the games with pk and complement the wussy games. Hahah if yo udont like the good pking games stick with your silkroad or ffo or something...

    The monsters in the beginning have no ai DUR! you need to learn to crawl before you walk. I got to 32 and it gets much harder and you need parties to level and to not get ganked by the empire. LoA represent w00t w00t! Always love free games. =D

    this game is a decent time killer :)


    but if you want to play it long tern i woudl think twice, already people have unlimited money because of bugs lol


    it doesnt save your char unless you personally save it, it will go back to the last time you /save ..so yeah it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out in 2 seconds

    , yes nice design flaw....if the game was remotely interesting that is.

    terrible game, I pity anyone who likes it because its really something else. Ferentus however is finally up and running, new content patch is being tested on the new test server and should be due shortly, game will own ass in a few weeks.

    yea...i petty anyone you even bother to play this...i cant even name it a "game"...it reminds me like i leave in 1980's...and you cant even compare it with Silkroad...excwpt if you are a 12 years old baby...then i will understund.
    sometimes i wonder about these ppl...have they even try to play other mmorpg's? see what the graphs look like these days?the gameplay?in fact everything?
