Don't get me wrong. Issue 7 seems great. And if they release it (and the more hype I see about it makes that possibility more and more nil for me), it will bring back players, and perhaps bring new ones.
But they have been hyping this patch for too long, and with too much intensity, that I cannot help but be suspicious. They have been hyping it for an entire quarter, with no I7 to back it up.
Why don't they release it already, and get it over with?
Because they don't have a patch in any form to be released, they have lost key positions in their dev team, and I suspect the game is, sadly, on death's door.
I've just seen too many cases of bad hoojoo in this industry, things such as this massive hype campaign over a patch are more than likely an indicator of a sick and struggling game, than an expanding and robust one.
They have spammed me with many E-Mails the last few weeks hoping I'd resub before they give me an Issue 7, and this whole scenario just smells like something bad: vaporware.
I think there is a distinct possibility that they have no I7, they will have no I7, and all they have to sell the game at this point is hype for I7, that they have no intention of ever releasing.
