Revelation Online has been updated with the "Mythical Conflict" content expansion that brings a new standalone 5v5 MOBA game mode to players. This new game mode allows players to choose from a roster of "iconic NPC heroes" to play as during the match. In typical MOBA fashion, the three lanes are packed with waves of minions as the heroes work to destroy the enemy's crystal. As the match progresses, players can hunt monsters and enemy players. Success earns gold and XP in order to level up.

why not give it to those players allready playing your game? i don't get it why mmos are so fed up with those "old" mmos and refuse to adept "newer" patterns other games use for ages now

If you want to enter the MOBA market and don't have original ideas, don't bother. You'll fail. Even the best and most inventive new gen MOBAs, like Dawngate, faced uphill, and often futile, struggles to enter the genre. Your shite will just be one more corpse on the pile.
But a minimum level 40 requirement does sound like it should prevent something from being called standalone.
No it doesn't, u can ask for help in dungeons for lvl.
I think MOBA PvP mode is fun, something new for mmorpg's.
EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests
Sigh....
Not defending the game. But it's not standalone in any sense of the word. You have to queue up for it. And you need to be level 40.
I think MOBA mode has own balance, and not connected with another gameplay
