How will the gameplay style be?

in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
Will it be like... Well, i'll compare it to DAoC since Mythic is on this game.


Will be sorta like the style of DAoC?  You can level up on your own and what not in a PvE land, but then you can go out into pvp territory where the other races will be?

    yah they said that it will be like that you will be able to but the game is mainly for pvp lovers hence why they start it out with you being attacked by other race players also you can just do pve but it wont be as effect as doing pvp or doing pvp quests so if u hate pvp stay away

    Well, that's why I loved DAoC.  You could either spend all of your time PvEing or RvRing.

    I'm welcome to both.

    I'll put it like this: If the game would reveal itself to be a total clone of DAoC with just remade textures etc... I'd play it if there was enough players. :D

    The biggest thing that really get's me excited about this game is that you can actually "level" mostly with pvp ! pve is such bore..

    Agreed, the concept of RvR as the basis of the game similar to DAoC and the fact you can actual level purely through PvP has got my watching this very closely.

    Cant wait till beta

    I feel the same way man.  I don't like games where you don't have to level because it takes away one of the major goals, but I also get annoyed with games where I have to PVE endlessly and "grind" to gain levels.  A game where you can level your character through PVPing is a dream come true!  I can't wait!

    With their experence with DAoC and other MMO's I am willing to believe they can work out the lag issues in beta. However everyone knows when a massive encounter takes place there is lag, either from the server OR from your computer. I currenty have a higher-end setup and cant wait to play this game on my machine. However by the time of release, end of 2007 or 2008 even my computer might be ancient! I will definatly add a second graphics card when this game comes out. Even if this is just a DAoC remake, I will PAY and PLAY!!!

    I agree....


    DAOC was a great game with good concepts that were well implemented. If it werent such a dated game graphically I believe more people would play it. That being said even if WAR turns out to be basically a DAOC clone set in a warhammer backdrop so be it.

    Think of how much better EQII would have done if they had just took pre luclin EQ and gave it awesome new graphics, player towns and siege or battleground style PVP.

    I agree, I still play DAoC and I will Pay n Play this game simply because I fell Mythic does RvR (PvP) better than anyone else I have seen to date.  I think if people played DAoC with the new expansion (graphical upgrade extreme) for a month, many would be fans/converts easily.

    I used to play alot, had a lvl 50 thurgist and 40 infiltrator and a few 20s and 30s.  If I could remember my account info. still I would check out the graphics upgrade. lol

    If this game is pretty much a DAoC2 then i'm sold.  DAoC is the only MMORPG that I've played for a couple of years on and off.  Well, that and The Realm Online when I was in middle school :P
