The Twitter for Elder Scrolls: Blades, the mobile game based on the popular franchise, has announced that the game will be delayed until "early 2019" for both iOS and Android devices. However, players can still sign up for early access. The game was originally planned for a 2018 release and no reason has been cited for the delay.

    Delayed for bug fixing, seriously? This is Bethseda we are talking about.

    “ We delayed the release couple of times already and further delaying it for 3 more months. Our team has no sense of a deadline and as a company we are constantly screwing stuff up. Sorry fans.”

    Release dates have been something that - usually - Bethseda have hit without fail. Which is why this is somewhat unusual. 

    Its probable that the release just clashes with some other title or they can get better advertising rates post Christmas ...... but it would be nice to think that they had delayed it tofix bugs! This is Bethseda though and they have gained a reputation when it comes to bugs.

    They announced that it will come for PCs as well eventually. *shrug* I think I will enough fun in this once it makes it's way to computers.

    I look forward to modders making it playable when it comes to the PC in the future.

    ...Is what I would say if I intended on buying any more Bethesda products.

    Kind of sad that the first statement is almost as bad as the second.

    Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

    Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

    To be fair we know little of the game. With this delay, it could be assumed that it will be in a much better state than their last game, which shall not be mentioned. In addition, it's coming to the PC eventually, so modders will fix what needs to be fixing as per the usual.

    Though I suppose it is fair to say that all Bethesda games are crap if you take into account that it has to be fixed by the fanbase and they couldn't be bothered to do it themselves. But numbers and sales and the three dozen remasters of Skyrim should also be mentioned.

    My take, I bet Beth is scared and have to take out the heavy MTX/Loot Boxes in Blade, thus delay to a later date. Nothing crazy on the horizon for our phone to compete with so why the need for delaying it, maybe, they need to remove the NPCs for Blade O_o lmao.

    I guess we ALL have to wait for Diablo Immortal then.
    I recently bought my first smart phone only to play those new amazing games, I can't bear the though of wasting my money.

    Dire Wolf did an amazing job with Elder Scrolls Legends.  I was looking forward to Blades, moreso prior to the internet debacle of FO76.  Now, I'm not so sure.

    There are quality mobile games. I mean Hell, I play Fire Emblem Heroes.

    But the few quality mobile games are drowning in a sea of irredemible bullshit.

    (I quit playing my other mobile game, Dragalia Lost, because it demanded so much time that keeping up while also playing actual games was physically impossible).
