Well, we've got both the extremes, so now I'm curious about the middle ground.
What are the MMOs that make you go "meh"?
These are MMOs that have reasonable stability, a couple interesting features, some OK lore or backstory, perhaps workable but tame PvP or innovative but fuddled PvP, a fairly drab economy, uninspired (but not archaic) graphics, et cetera, or any combination thereof.
These are MMOs that, while perhaps providing a glimmer of hope at first, upon further play just don't quite catch your wallet's eye for whatever reasons.
These are also MMOs that, given a few big changes/overhauls to certain aspects, or perhaps a slew of small changes, might possibly make you take a second look and perhaps even throw some greens their way. What might some of these changes be, in your opinion, that would turn these games from a waste of server space to a modest diversion?
Flames always welcome.

Lineage 2.. sorta fun nothing special
WoW.
It just felt all wrong. Graphics are great, other things are great, its just not my thing.

Have to go with L2 and hmm.... that's it.. it's a so-so MMO that just left me going 'why?'
Ryzom is another but it does have redeeming features.
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.

My mediocre-est MMO ever is probably City of Heroes and City of Villains. Good fun MMOs that had me playing for a few months each, but lack of certain features had me leaving them after a while.
RF Online is another. It is fun until you realize that there is very limited content other than PvP. But that is what the focus of the game is, so no complaints here, I was just looking for something a little more from it.
I love my family
1)My first choice is EQ2. Good game, but really never convinced me, and I tried hard (Yes I have a lvl 70 Guardian and a lvl 65 Armorer, so I played for quite long)
It is not either for Core player or Casual players. If you are 1 of the 2 at some point you will ask yourself why you were playing it.
2)WoW. This game is very controversial
For the first 55 lvls is an heaven for casual players, after that point Hardcore Raiding sets in
The result is, that the Core players left the game before they could reach lvl 55, because it was too easy, and all the casual players who played it til lvl 55 get stuck in a game which don't belong to them, although they keep playing it because they invested so much time/effort in it.
WoW. It had the potential storyline and company to make it great but they settled for churning out the same old crap.
Make a difference!

I'll say WOW, the game up to 60 had a lot of promise, it supported lots of playstyles and gave you a good bit of world to mess around with, plus developer comments on PVP seemed to indicate that there was going to be some exciting stuff coming. They've ended up with just another raid game though. The non-raid content is doing the same thing over and over until your eyes bleed or you get a 'carrot', while the raid conent is doing the same thing over and over until your eyes bleed but with 39 accomplices. In what's truly an amazing trick, they managed to turn PVP into something that feels like PVE; you go into an instance and grind away for another carroy; all of the fun type of stuff like town raids and fighting outside of a carefully sanitized battleground (with the same map every time!) are actively discouraged.
