I'm more likely to buy a second PS4 than I am to adopt Epic's store front. If I were going to adopt anything new it would be a Switch, not yet another PC store.
You should adopt a Switch. It's absolutely brilliant and hosts a number of the best games of the last couple years.
Linux is, almost literally, a grain of sand on the gaming beech. While I can applaud the dedication to the platform, Linux is a categorically, and statistically, insignificant in any gaming discussion.
Not that many years ago, I would have been like "Meh. I already have Steam", but frankly Valve has squandered the good will they earned with me in recent years. Their zero curation approach has resulted in Steam transforming into a GooglePlay-esque cesspool, where you have to wade through a swamp full of asset flips and other garbage to get to the good stuff. "hand-curated set of games" sounds pretty good to me right now, even if it does mean another launcher. I would prefer to only use Steam, but Valve just doesn't have their shit together. Maybe Epic Games will light a much-needed fire under Valve's butt!

Makes me chuckle every time.

There are 200+ Linux distros. Which ones do you want them to support?
