Liked AoC a lot as it remains my favorite M rated mmo to date and Conan Exiles was my favorite survival game. So it's safe to say I'm hyped and look forward to more Funcom Conan titles.

I Have to agree they did a really great job staying true to the IP with those games. The 80's Conan movies were pretty raw and adult themed. Other than Game of Thrones you don't see that much when it comes to fantasy in 2018 Hollywood .
Age of Conan was one of the most underrated MMORPG's in the genre in my opinion, wish we could get a re-do.
Couldn't agree more. The combat system was fantastic as were the mounts and sound ... just the constant loading screens and lack of depth after Tortage seemed a little jarring... but certainly would be great. But I would bet on an RPG Witcher style of game ...

AoC was a clear case of over promise / under deliver. The classes were gutted and the post newbie island experience was a let down. There were other issues but remember that being a couple of the biggies at launch. And the whole pesky no one could run the game at decent framerate.
I liked the combat more than anything and the setting was nice as well. Crafting was meh and end game was very very meh.
Let down would be an understatement. There were literally entire zones that were unpopulated.
They wasted so much time on their newbie island that half of the game was neglected entirely.
It took them a good while after launch to fill all those gaps. That White Sands zone was gorgeous, though
Once they finally fired/removed that stooge who was in charge of the project, things improved, but it was too late by then to save the game from obscurity.
Also -- for anyone who hasn't actually read any of the Conan books:

I won't argue that the game over-promised and under delivered, but people fled from it before giving it a proper chance. It really did turn around very quickly and the developers were initially working their ever living asses off (12-16 hour days) to make the game better.
Within three months a lot of the issues had been fixed.
The initial end-game was meh, but very very quickly they had the T2 Raids up and running and were some of the best raids in gaming. T3, T3.5 and T4 were also absolutely mind melting raids. Some of the best fun, most cheers and biggest arguments I've ever been in.
AoC is, in my opinion, the second best MMORPG to ever be released, and it pains me to see how badly it was maligned because it wasn't absolutely perfect on launch day.
For me AoC was a roller coaster ride, after Tortage it dropped me off in the middle of nowhere. It was a totally different game after that starter zone. I still come back to it and play a little about once a year or so, just like their other games.

If the rest of AoC was like Tortage, where you want to do it with several different classes so that you can see every side of the story then it would have been a great game.
Maybe it's just me, but it looks suspiciously like it will be a mobile game without calling it a mobile game. I've seen some screenshots on other web sites, and the graphics look extremely pared down to the level it could be playable on a tablet or a phone.

Honestly, I'd doubt it would be since C&C is coming to mobile thanks to EA. Then again, it could just end up being multiplatform.

IMHO that would be cool, especially with Conan Marvel Comics returning next year!
