They went with the younger version of Obi Wan instead of Alec Guinness.

Yes, because they are releasing characters from the Clone Wars era right now. Grievus last month, Obi Wan this month, Dooku and Anakin in Dec.

I haven't tried this SW:BF, but after trying the one from 2015 and seeing how lame it is, I don't care about this one at all.

I've mostly played SW:BF1 from 2004 and then SW:BF2 from 2005 and while BF2 has more mod support, the gameplay feels somehow degraded compared to BF1.

So therefore for me the best Star Wars Battlefront game is the one from 2004 and I hate the other three.

So your judging a current game based upon a previous game? Very objective LOL.

Don't we all? Is it wrong to expect a game made in 2017 to be better than a game made in 2004? If you make a new version of a game it should be better.

This is actually the second new game, hence Star Wars:Battlefront II in the name tag. ;)

The whole controversy crap around the loot box cards aside, the story missions in SW:BF II are actually pretty good. I really enjoyed the Solo Campaign and felt like I at least got my money's worth playing throught the Solo campaign.
