Amazon has posted a brief note on its Facebook page to let fans know that a fresh round of New World alpha invites is out in the wild. Interested community members are also invited to sign up for the chance to be selected for the alpha as well.
Comments
I saw in a video where there used to be 2 servers and now there's 1, and there's barely more than 25-50 people on it.
I also heard the alpha installer puts the Amazon game launcher in your startup items, which is pretty arrogant.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Okay, you can progress a bit solo, but not far before you are gated into content that requires cooperation.
The invites are directly tied to the Amazon account which applied for the invitation. There are no places to into any ‘key’. In game, faint watermarks with a specific code are plastered across your screen so that they can identify those who break the NDA.
Not sure the point of lying.

1 Invites are most likely sifted to put notable people that can help market their game but they'll put his out there just to further market the game.
2 WHY is their invites, when game goes live your not telling some can join and some can't and besides your NOT properly testing anything when you just select a handful of ,well hand picked people.
3 less importantly,i don't use or go to Facebook, most of those media outlets are degenerate and just looking to cash in on making money with ties to Google adware/cookies.
4 Sorry there is a more important point, this game has less than 2 years of legit development,to pinpoint how long,my guess about 18 months could even only be a year.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
You accepted NDA when you signed up for it Nice try bro.

As someone else said they had a massive initial interest then when people saw what it was they all left. Whats it been 3 months or less since the first round of invites went out?
Kind of like a bad movie with huge hype (Aquaman) you have a mass amount of people on the first night then half or less the next night (as word of mouth spreads) then youre playing to empty theaters.
Right now theyre hoping to have some 'cant look away from a car crash' types who just want to see what its like.
Its all or nothing with games these days on all fronts. They either over saturate you with some early access (that you pay top dollar for in most cases) piece of crap that is kept in EA or Alpha or beta or whatever name they want to invent to protect it. Or they spring a title on you and drop it within 2 or 3 days (or sometimes none at all) of actually seeing what it looks like. (again at top dollar).
ESO and GW 2 were the last two games to have a 'standard' release process. Pick a release date. Have a few rounds of tests that were actually tests (and not free previews) and have a fairly stringent invite process.
I remember when everyone and their brother was waiting around their email box when ESO was sending out invites and the rage people had when they didnt get theirs. I guess thats what some of these companies are trying to reinvent. But its not happening.
Better get an Amazon prime key offer or something.

There are game that offer this that you may be interested in - they are called solo games.
Congratulations, you never actually got invited. Dumbwit
