To my dismay, Black Desert Online hasn’t quite evolved into the group PVE direction I wanted when I reviewed the game years ago. But that doesn’t mean I’ve given up on Pearl Abyss’ wonderfully complex and gorgeous MMO. I still go back every so often, but it’s been several months since my last visit. This time, my return was brought on by the Legolas-But-Not-Really Archer, the new male ranger class that was added this week.

I don't remember what i paid for the game,must have been up around $60+.
IMO this developer should never make another mmorpg ever for the rest of anyone's life.
First of all the half assed node idea is well yeah,half assed done like about 3% done,coudl ahve been a great idea but yeah slack effort.
Back to the Archer,i have no idea what that class designer was thinking,but i have NEVER seen a person do spin o rama's with a bow.I was like wtf is this nonsense,was the guy high who designed this,i can't play this crap.So i tried some other class for about 2 days,same crap.
So then my questing leads me to the water front,i see tons of people,i'll go look...grrrr

Oh want to travel on your horse,auto afk mode...my god,yeah this developer should never make another mmropg ever again.
The artists work was really well done but then again artists work is always well done,it is the rest of the development team who should be fired.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
I'd reply that but MMORPG.com has too vague account suspension policy. I'd say - Canadian policy considering my experience in Warframe chat.

In regards to a previous poster: The classes in the game are fun and new, the combat is a redeeming portion of the game. The issue in my sphere with the game is the amount of grind required to enjoy the game. That coupled with it's slow slide in to pay to win mechanics and cash shop additions, the massive amount of exploiting done by communities at most every content release is a huge turn off to folks who don't want to "win at all costs" and just play the game. The community inside the game is emblematic of the problems with Korean grinding pvp games.

As for BDO, what drove me away from the game and likely won't pull me back was that awful cash store and all the purchases that were character wide instead of account wide. The game's cash shop is very alt hostile, which eventually drove me off.
If everyone is a DPS with at least minimal healing then every one can run around playing and pew-pewing. We know how todays gamers hate waiting for anything or any one...

Building the character? Did they add a robust skill tree that I am missing? Last I played it only had the unlock system for upgraded skills .. less of a depth thing and more of a grind points to unlock.
What was added that increases character build depth?

Black Desert still generates this much attention?
Bingo! World bosses are basically all they have for group pve and they are just terrible. Professions (Lifeskills) are the best of any game however. Forced PVP is a downer.
