if you can play that easymode spoonfed garbage for that long your opinion is garbage itself IMHO.

FoH, AL and many uber guilds, which are also been catered to by SoE and Sigil....they think WoW can be played 1000+ hours...

As to the number significance...I must have played between 600 and 1000 hours for CoH and CoV combined...which hardly compare to my '400 days played' in old EQ (prolly more, was 372 on my main character, have another character max level with hundreds of AAs to add like 50 more days I guess...and so on with more twinks)...and any game which manage to get 200 hours from me is actually achieving a LOT.    I didn't bear WoW more than a day myself, but I do know that the uber guilds did play far more than 1000 hours in WoW and praise it...at least for a while if not anymore.

Most of whom, we are talking of a few hundred players here...and I am not so sure.  They are used to raiding instances and no training the next guild anymore...anyway, a few hundred players hardly matter, yet, for Sigil, it seem to matter more than the well beeing of their game.  LOL.

If there is only a few hundred why even bring them up in the first place??  WoW has 4 million+  subscribers.  But I can assure you there are more than a few hundred who are hardcore like FoH.

I don't see you showing what games you played. Could it be you're embarassed that you played WoW?

I never said WoW was good did I? I played it cause my retarded friends did. I like to play in a game with my friends...I hate the game and if you notice, which I bet you didn't, my current weekly played game isn't WoW.

I know you guys hate WoW because of it's success and think Vanguard will be your savior but it will be a microscopic release. Niche game at best, complete failure at worst. That is if the "fans" keep the game going in the direction it is.

And if you think WoW raiding is spoonfeed, you are completely clueless. The raid zones were created by the same dumb ass people that ran EQ1 raids so its' 100% boring and you gotta run them endless times to get everything you need. EQ1 raiding doesn't hold a candle to the pain in the ass grinding WoW has. The people you folks look up to in EQ1 like FoH are the ones that are now developing WoW's content. Hell, just try be rank 14 pvp as well.

I played EQ1 just like you apparently did only I learned that what made EQ1 good was not death penalties and 45 minute travel times.

If "desperate" is all that is required to have an all access pass, well then Vanguard will need one shortly after release.

I personally would love to see it.  NCsoft has the best variety of good games on the market right now.

SOE has just as much (if not more) variety, but the games outside of the EQ familly, pretty much bite.  Honestly I think that the only reason that they keep some of the games running that they do is to get as many folks as possible to get an all access pass instead of a regular subscription.  I'm sure that Planetside, EQOA, and the Matrix Online aren't too profitable.  But by converting some EQ and EQ II subs into all access subs they make those (already profitable) games more profitable.  It also boosts box sales whenever they release an expansion for anything "in the familly."  It's a pretty clever buisiness ploy, and I'm sure that NCsoft will do smothing similar eventually if it's at all possible.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.

As was mine. You do not need to be "desperate" to want to increase your player base. I pay for the all access pass but I rarely play anything other than one game. They still get 21 bucks from me, not 15. Not only that broadens the player base of ALL their games. I'd never play L2 or AA but if they made it an all access pass I'd play both just as one offs now and then... which means I'd pay for the boxed game.

I don't need to troll the 'public' Vanguard forums to see whats happening.

Yes but again Vanguard had nothing to do with the discussion, that's why you should post your opinions on the forums or open another discussion in this one.
You just brought it up to piss me off.

    Regarding the all pass access.
Don't you realise that what you are saying is exactly what I am trying to explain to you?
SOE knows that very few people will play 2 of their game at the same time, so they have to invent a way to make more money.
Offering the all pass access to their existing customers, will give them the chance to make more money from you, which wouldn't have paid for another account anyway.

NCSoft don't need to do that yet, because each of their game its paying for itself, they don't need to offer you an all access account, they are making enough money as it is.
Of course in the future they might do it, they are companies after all and they need to make profit.
But SOE it's always the first to implement features to make more money.
If they' d put more effort in making good games instead they wouldn't need to worry about their revenues, because more people would subscribe their games.
But since SOE transformed itself from a decent MMO company to a money machine, this is not going to happen.

Not embarrassed by definetely not pleased with the short time that I played it.

Rofl, no.  I don't need anyone elses opinion to know WoW sucks.  I don't care about Blizzard getting richer, they were already filthy rich to begin with.  I believe Vanguard will succeed because it's going to target a different audience and be a game that takes more than a 5 year olds' intellect from day 1 of your character.

If "desperate" is all that is required to have an all access pass, well then Vanguard will need one shortly after release.

So why exactly would Sigil have an all access pass for 1 game?

Here is the reply I got after emailing support...

"Thank you for contacting PlayNC Support.

Currently we do not have a system such as that. It has been requested and is a topic of discussion. If in the future we do decide to implement such a process we will be certain to post on our main page of each of our games. You can read such updates and changes to our games and billing threw the "Current News" on the main page of each game site that we have.

We appreciate your input on possible improvements to make our system better. Another forum that you can post this that will be better served would also be the Developers Corners on the game forums page. ( http://boards.cityofheroes.com/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=Dev )

If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us here at PlayNC Support.

Nice.  I never got a reply.  I'll be sure to post on the Developers Forums in Auto Assault and other NCSoft games.

Absolutely a great idea.  NCSoft can really take advantage of the fact they have so many games offer.  I single price to play all their games would be amazing.

All I found was this... http://www.ncsoft.com/eng/nccontact/company.asp

You can E-mail them with this address:

As far as NCSoft not being that desperate, I agree.  They have newer games.  SOE has some older mmorpgs in their Station Access Pass.  They are an older company.  Maybe in some more time we will see NCSoft come out with a similar type of "pass" as newer games start grabbing players away from NCSoft games.

Incorrect.  In the MMO Industry NCSoft is actually "older" than SOE.

You obviously have never worked in a corporate environment.  I agree 100% that NCSoft doesn't "need" to do it.  However, its a good business decision to make one, regardless of whether they "need" to or not.

Their customers get more value for their money.  More access to more games for less money than they would otherwise have to pay.  Thus more people are likely to play NCSoft titles who otherwise wouldn't have.  I personally don't play a single subscription based game owned by NCSoft but if they offered an All Access Pass I would be tempted because while I don't like COV/COH/L2/AA enough to justify going out and buying those games or pay a monthly fee for them if I had 1 account that cost maybe $21.95 a month I would probably do it so that I could have the option of playing ALL of those games.  Especially if Tabula Rasa were included in the pass.

It's just smart business sense.  It's a win-win.  People get access to games they otherwise wouldn't play and the company makes more than it would have otherwise.  Saying that NCSoft "wont" because they don't "need" to is silly.  It's never about "need" in a company.  It's about the bottom line and making sure that 'bottom line' is as high as possible.

ya a pass for all ncsoft games would be nice but like said before they are not desperate yet. Im having to decide between CoH or AA. I wont pay for more than 1 subscription.Even a 30$ deal i would pay for a All NcSoft pass.

I would *love* to see something like this.  As it is, they're canablizing their own games:  I quit CoH/CoV for AA and have talked to other who have done the same.  I've also subscribed to SOE's station pass over any NCSoft game simply because of the value of it.  I can play all sorts of games to fit my mood for only ~$5 a month more.  If NCSoft had something like this, I'd probably never go back to SOE again.
