We have received word from the team behind The Repopulation that the game will be brought down later today to bring a large new patch on board. The update brings a number of tweaks to the combat system into the game as well as performance improvements and two completely rebuilt areas. The letter also goes into detail about what the team has accomplished in 2018 and what it is currently working on and what is planned as we head into 2019.

Not really, it's not developed by the original team anymore. The company that created the Hero Engine bought the game and are the ones working on it now a days.

Actually, Hero's Journey was developed by Simutronics and not Idea Fabrik or IF Studio. But it would be nice to see that game finished some day. Never know.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

I was really happy when they announced that the game has new owners and I'm actually pleasantly surprised that they are working on it. Might give it a go when I have nothing to do.
I'd love it if the game somehow manages to get to release. It has potential(at least it used to) and honestly with the current state of the mmorpgs at the moment it just might do good.
Yup same here. Last time i ever get suckered unto paying for someone's dream to take shape.
