After years of apathy towards the marvels of the Asura, one moment gave me a reason to reconsider my reticence. Simply put, a little Golem stole my heart. That’s right, a glimmer of humanity among these walking inferiority complexes sprung into Living World episode, A Bug in the System made me look at the Genius Operated Living Enchanted Manifestation in a different light.

But I do love them as NPCs. They're hilarious jerkasses.
Taimi isn't as bad of course. There's some good writing put forward with her. I just don't get how much could go wrong after guild wars 1. Things are only gonna get worse, I guess
Well, if they see "the big board" then all will be clear.

Sounds shit to me. There's a reason sitting around a campfire and hearing other people's stories is a treasured activity. Imagine sitting there telling yourself a story. You'd be locked up you madman.
I prefer a good story... thanks.
Generally saw them as the embodiment of curiosity. Hubris is itself an element expressed by all the races. Lion's Arch was/is itself an example of this. Both in the context of historically being a symbol of a time when humanity in the game were so full of hubris they couldn't see their loss before they'd already been served it, and to the modern ages of GW2 where it was struck a major blow yet again leading to it's rebuild.
Perhaps they have leaned into caricatures of the races as they've gone on with the plots because it's easy to do, but I don't tend to like it when it's applied so liberally across the entirety of a race in any media. More so if it's a sort of filtered down perception players build of a given race based on isolated factors of the game.
I love their story, their tech, and their culture. I just cant get into playing one for some reason. I really like playing Charr and Sylvari the most. It's been hard for me to get into the other three, even though my main is a human!
