    Someone needs to create a good guide on how to have fun playing EVE, people seem to instinctively choose the most boring grind. It's just so funny when I hear "I'm tired of grinding astroids and EVE sucks!" stop grinding astroids then you damn fool!
    There is a thread in these forums about how to have fun on the 14 day trial as a pirate.
    Found HERE. Obviously the OP didn't try anything out of the ordinary, mine till bored and quit, mission till bored and quit, pvp solo in the wrong space too many times and quit.

    My sentiments exactly......

    Use your brain and scheme.......that's what makes Eve fun, in WoW you can't break the rules and use your intelligence to win, it comes down to "rock paper scissors" with classes and who has the best gear.

    Just the other day I was outnumbered 6 to 1, and I wooped their asses.

    You might call it boring, but I call it a game you can play and still live a real life.  ie not having to sit in front of the computer for HOURS at a time.

    You know, some people dont have time for the mindless grind that comes along with some MMORPG's.  Some people like being able to casually play the game because there are more important things in life.

    Thats my 2 cents

    So you'll spend the entire time wondering what to do next and where everone is.  Wander around and get in a fight, or look for some meteors to harvest.  Rinse and repeat.  And don't even think about PvP because you'll just get wasted, if you even know where to find it or what to look for.  I would have to say that the response by the site's readers confuses me greatly.
    I'm sure many share your views.

    Eve is simply the best Multiplayer Massive Online Role Player Game of the market.

    If you are a intelligent person in the real life, you will be a intelligent player in Eve. In the other games the road is indicated. Anyone kid brainless would to play and to creek at WoW, Daoc, Guild Wars, FFXI... This is not possible in Eve Online. Here you chose yor career, think what is the best way for your survival.

    I love how you come to the EVE forums where posts can be pages long and most people post several paragraph and you try to flame w/ one sentence flames.

    That right there lies your problem w/ EVE. You're a child or you have the mind of a child and cannot pull up enough brain power to write a complex reply. That is why you don't like EVE, you don't understand what is going on, it is too complicated for you. It's kinda like throwing a monkey into the driver's seat of a car and saying "DRIVE MONKEY!" then we all come and laugh when it wrecks.

    Eve is 3 years old today and the subscriber base is in the region of 150000.
    Some other games havent lasted a year, and some run into huge problems when they take on too many players.

    I think thats endorsement enough for Eve.

    If its 'boring', then I have sat infront of my PC almost every day for the last 3 years boring myself to tears. I found this process quite fun.
