It has been just over a month since Conqueror’s Blade let down the drawbridge and demoed castle sieges to the world. Now, My.com has given MMORPG.com a glimpse of how the game’s Developer, Booming Games, plan to put the massive into their medieval MMO. Maybe you’ve tried out the recent tests, challenged fellow commanders in the field, or laid siege to a castle but Conquerors Blade has a whole different world to explore.

Is this going to be persistent lands and castles like Daoc or random season WvW crap like GW2? Is there a reason to care if you get a keep or if someone takes yours? Or is it one of these server games where only 40 can play and calling itself an MMO? All I need to know. I'll read up on it later when I have time, but if someone has the quick answers from playing....

Its an MMO persistent open world that operates very similar to how Mount and blade campaign map works. (Very similar). When I played last year it was very hard on the open world because you lose your units permanently until you reach the next town. There was a lobby shooter mode for 10v10 and 6v6 but I'm not sure if they plan on keeping it or doubling down on the open world.

You also move quite slow on the open world and it was very easy to get zerged down - but there were no 'bandit' npc when I played so that might mix it up.

If it's persistent open world MMO, it seems more in line with Warhammer Online, minus all the warhammer bells and whistles. Regardless, sounds good. But I felt really at odds wanting to pick this up.

My.com/Mail.ru sells weapons in Skyforge. P2W is a bit too strong in this one (publisher)

    Thank you for your time!

I guess bows will be the most used weapon with aim cheats most likely.

I'm loving the tests so far and look forward to future tests. This game has the potential to be one I've always wanted.

Good write-up, though the copy editor should go over it a few more times. :)

CB looks very promising, it will be very interesting to see how the different modes of gameplay mesh together, and how it functions over the long term in a persistent world. Dying to take part in my first test, hopefully news will drop soon! I need as much advance notice as possible to schedule time off work. :P

Reading a small bit on this business, seems they are big in the gambling and slots,so i suspect this is going to be a big cash shop venture.
Reading further it really smells like p2w.So apparently Silver is the driving force and some mention of getting it early on from quests but seemed to make sure not to word it any differently.Honor and XP drive the houses higher but Silver also pretty mush drives EVERYTHING,even including players donating to the house.

So with everything pointing at Silver and needing it to basically "level up"the house,i see this  as THE gimmick.

Then to get this "60 day premium"nice way of wording CASH SHOP sale ,for a mere $114 bucks, nice a small developer asking 114 seems legit,,lol. If not buying in with the most expensive package,i see it as yet another p2w,the premium accounts will get faster house leveling via likely several methods, like maybe higher Silver rewards and who knows what else, maybe quest limits that can be reset.

Bottom line, this team was VERY careful not to come out and say this will not be p2w because i am quite certain it will be.When outside the game money enters into the game,it ruins EVERYTHING the game is suppose to be doing.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I'm old and have money, but not allot of time. So, I have no issue with p2w or in most cases it is really P2 advance faster. P2W means, you can only buy items that make your character better with real life money. Buying currency you can generate in the game, or buying scrolls to level faster is not p2w, it is pay to advance faster.

For now, it could be your main source of damage, but I guess bow is going to be nerfed soon.
