I didn't know that this game will have base building. I know that excites some, but it actually diminishes my enjoyment of any game substantially. I really dislike building structures, and don't like such mechanics having an important effect on gameplay. I hope it's optional/minimal and doesn't have any effect beyond personalization.

From the description in below the video - NPC factions will conflict with each other for territories. Probably it'll be like "red vs blue" battles in AC Odyssey based on player's activity.

    Thank you for your time!

Might be like in the first version where you only upgrade your premade base / player hub

I think that's exactly what it is -- not construction of the base ala survival games, but upgrading it through gameplay, etc. exactly as it was in Division 1.

Yes or you can get it through ubisofts store. Uplay
Having it available in places other than the Epic Store would make it NOT exclusive.

At the moment it's exclusively not exclusive.

Division 1 could be such beast and amazing experience if they would focus more on great deep story line with deep lore etc. I mean, the streets could be filled with hundreds of stories of survivors, agents from 1 wave, bad guys etc. So you could for example follow some 1st wave agent with some legend like status and discover his fate, why he disappeared, what happened to him and it could finish with some epic shout out in some dungeon/lair when you revenge his death and get his epic gun like reward. But they just went with almost generic missions instead of that :/ Not sure the Division 2 will be much different. I would like to hope that yes.

The Division felt way too bullet spungy. I just couldn't get into it after fighting several bosses in the game. The gunplay felt fine, but all the bosses had too much health

@Calcius If you enjoyed the gameplay minus the sponge bosses. You should really consider Ghost recon: wildlands. It's the same type of gameplay, but more realistic. Majority of enemies will die from one headshot or a couple body shots. You also command 3 teammates. If Anthem and D2 weren't around the corner. I would fire it up again.

If there is base building, you can bet this is the top execs/investors asking the developing team to find a way to create more revenue than just a sale.So most are afraid of using loot boxes now, well except for scummy Blizzard.
So i expect some form of cash shop to supplement this so called end game,we will have to wait and see as i do not expect any press member to ask a tough question like that.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Yeah, let's just be clear and honest. This is about shutting out Steam and non Windows users (on the PC platform) not making it Epic exclusive. The exclusives bandwagon is mostly with smaller studios that don't have the leverage to pull what Bethesda and Ubisoft can.
With the issues over Epics regional prices, looking into alternatives to the Epic store is a necessity, i hate having to pay over the odds for things and Epics pricing is uncompetitive, distinctly so. If the Uplay store has a more reasonable pricing than Epic then it would be a no brainer should i decide to buy the game, though like Division 1, the decision to buy Division 2 may well be a 6 month+ decision as Division 1 certainly wasn't worth buying at release. As someone who lives in the UK, the Epic store is over priced. :/

Meh, I only installed the Epic launcher/store to grab the free games.
The Division 1 ended up being a pretty good game, one i have played a lot, i am hoping that The Division 2 also ends up being a good game, i am not expecting it to be at launch but later on it might well be.
But if my only choices are Uplay or Epic store, i am really hoping that Uplay isn't going to try and rip me off, because Epic are not looking good on pricing. :/

Am I the only one who actually likes "bullet sponges?" I don't care about realism. I want shooters with longer times-to-kill (both for the player and the enemies), especially if it's a looter shooter where those longer kill times allow more room for the RPG gear design to shine.
