Can anyone recommend me an mmo that fits my criteria

I've been searching for something to play, was kinda excited for Anthem but after looking at it a little more I am no longer interested.

My criteria that i'd like to hit:

Steady population
Tank/Healer/DPS class architecture (more types is fine)

Games i'm not willing to go back to:

WoW
GW2

You cut your options pretty much by half at the end of your OP.

    The other half was provided by @Cryomatrix ;

I would agree with @Arterius FFXIV is a great game with alot of content. I think it's definitely worth a shot and you can get extended free trials codes very easily.

All the options described are high fantasy setting.

SW:TOR is decent and the story is pretty interesting. I can't stand playing it without subscription though.

No low fantasy setting games that I can think of, not yet anyway.

Cyberpunk or similar I can't think of anything.

Post apocalyptic there is nothing I can really recommend.

Modern world, the new Division might become a thing, but hasn't launched yet.

I'm still loving ESO. Can't wait for the upcoming necromancer class.

There are a lot of Old School games that provide what you are looking for, like EQ for example.

    Have you checked out Breach?

Steady population is not very good criteria to go on but up to you.How many people do you play with at one time,300?

So what i suggest is go to twitch.tv look at all the genres you want to play.I cannot stand twitch and how it is represented and how gamer's use it but it is good to see games first hand.Inside each game you might be able to talk and ask other people if they want to form a static and play the game together, that way you won't care who else is logging in ,like it matters anyhow.

There is only one game, well two where needing a steady population matters and even in that game like ALL of the mmo's,people are playing solo anyhow. The best tank/healer/dps game was and still is FFXI but you missed the hay day when it was really fun because it was a true grouping game.
Right now this minute,i would not reccommend any mmorpg, all of them are either crap or cash shops or single player games faking that they are a mmo. Many of these games don't even represent the tank/healer/dps very well,it is usually a group that performs like a single player game.
Go figure developers using the letters RPG but their game is nothing like a rpg.ANY game you end up deciding ,you will just be playing Wow clones,a game on rails. However,i tell you what,if a really good mmorpg comes along,i will be sure to share it with everyone because i too want to play a  great mmorpg.I am just thankful that i got to play one good one in my lifetime.

I'd +1 Dan's LotRO suggestion above. Steady population, and nicely separated classes/roles (though with the revamps of recent years, most classes are dps now as well... but their original roles are still there.)

Based on the two you listed.  Next on your playlist would be ESO as those three usually attract the same crowd but ESO is not for everyone, just have to play it and see.

    Wild cards:
    Aion
    Lineage 2
    Project Gorgon
    LotRO
    Blade and Soul
    NWO
    Destiny 2
    The Division
    Secret World Legends
    SWTOR, forgot about that one.

    FFXIV
    ESO
    Neverwinter
    TERA
    ArcheAge
    LOTRO
    SWTOR
    Aion

... are all games with a "steady" population and the holy trinity.

    My personal picks are:

LOTRO is my number 1, if the older game engine doesn't bother you.

Neverwinter if you want quicker, more into the action gameplay. It's almost like playing Diablo once you get into it. Very easy game until proper endgame though, then it's brutal. Population is absolutely massive.

SWTOR if you want excellent story, but be prepared to subscribe at endgame.
