Record of Lodoss War Online launched on Steam a couple of weeks ago and is inviting interested players to head into the game to participate in a number of celebratory events. As players level and reach certain benchmarks, they will be rewarded with a package of goodies to fuel the next benchmark. In addition, players can take part in the Main Quest Completion Event that will yield a reward package including bonus XP for a week and several other in-game items.

    The anime from forever ago was quite good...as I recall. Also, the Dreamcast RoLW game was one of the better Diablo clones. I put alot of time in that one.

    Not sure about this one.

    I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil

    Loved the anime, my name is loosely based off of Ashram the anti hero of the story.

    If all the company shows is a low resolution image as a selling point then you know the game is going to be garbage.

    If all the company shows is a low resolution image as a selling point then you know the game is going to be garbage.

    A ton of people can't even play this game because the registration for it is complete garbage.

    they had they launcher before steam if I remember right, and the game was sex class locked and little to none customization
    FOR HONOR, FOR FREEDOM.... and for some money.

    I haven't dedicated enough time to it but it's been installed on my pc for a while (non steam).

    The game is fairly generic but for me the top selling point as an ARPG is that it has WASD movement. Without it i wouldn't even bother.

    I see your point but I see other games with high resolution "hero" images when they make the news section. Also, since their "hero" image is their first impression, shouldn't it be amazing? The first impression usually makes me click on the actual full link. Also, I only clicked on the link not that I was interested but just to see how not awesome the game was going to be based on the comments.

    Yeah it's not doing the game service when that's the image they give out. I mean old game engines are great who doesn't love sphere right?

    But damn that just makes me hard pass on the click through to steam for metric sake.

    Then again the game isn't doing itself a service by using a hella old IP combined with what appears lineage 1 style tile sets...Just grim.

    problem with this game is customization = 0, you look the same from lvl 0 to endgame no matter how much gear you change during your leveling, and everyone from same class looks same..

    The registration through the use of Google or Facebook is broken. That said just don't use it a lot your information put your email in make a password quite simple I didn't have any problems and this game is a nice gem it takes it back to the time of good old RPGs it's slightly vague and the translations from original to English is absolutely hysterical give it a shot I give it a 7 out of 10 for the safe that if there was more people playing I'd be a lot more fun
