Today's a big day for anyone looking to find out more about Anthem thanks to the arrival of the open demo. Anyone can download, install and play the demo that will be live from now through Sunday, February 3rd at 8:00 pm Pacific / 11:00 pm Eastern. Players need to be aware, according to BioWare, that servers will opening in a "rolling capacity" so not all players may be able to enter the game immediately but will be able to as more servers are added.

It's not console first person shooter. It's multi-platform 3rd person shooter. You're welcome.

1) there isn't enough ammo even for 66% shooting uptime - in a game which supposed to be a "looter *shooter*";
2) abilities have cooldowns which are too long and you are forced into shooting - without enough ammo! (see #1)
3) if you know what to do (i.e. shoot the boss into vulnerable spots instead of armored spots) - you'll get 100% aggro from all NPCs and will be dead in seconds;
4) if you are dead then you can stay dead for the whole length of the encounter;
4.5) you can literally either die voluntarily (and stay dead) or Alt+F4 out of boss fight then reconnect and sit behind closed door for the whole "fight" - while your team mates handle everything;
5) mobs spawn in an inaccessible spots and snipe you forever during fights preventing any form of regeneration;
6) mission items bug out and aren't active when you are required to pick them up;
7) boss spawn on top of you and insta-kill you;
etc. etc. etc.
This is like The Division 1 all over again - a bug-fest which will take years to improve.
Thank you for your time!
Plenty of ammo when I played.
Some abilites have longer cooldown than others. Some don't even require a full recharge to use again because it toggles on and off.
You know you can fly away right? The whole point of the game.
So you had bad teammates not repairing you. Game is not at fault.
Why would you alt+f4? LOL?
Snipers spawn at higher grounds. Because they are snipers. They snipe. Inaccessible? You can fly.
All games have few bugs like this here and there.
Boss has a spawn point. You standing at its spawn point doesn't mean they are spawning on top of you intentionally.
You're just really bad. Game isn't hard at all.
If that's how i will have to play then i think i'm skipping this one.
I'm really enjoying the gameplay tho.
You need to switch from public to private before you start any mission.
Of course it isn't hard because it allow easy AFK loot farming while your team mates do your work (I cannot use another term but "work" for the process because it's not enjoyable enough to call it "play", "gaming" or whatever) - this is exactly what I've checked this time. Because playing it actively is boring - if not irritating - due to shortage of ammo, lengthy abilities cooldowns and mediocre PC kb+mouse controls. It's like a love child of half-assed shooter with half-assed fighting game with great AFK farming opportunities.
Advice: decrease swimming and flying sensivity on PC to 10-15 points if you don't have a joystick. Then it becomes tolerable.

About the ammo running out. I had that problem until a streamer said something that made a lot of sense to me. The game is based on combos so if you try clearing areas without using them you will run out of ammo. So make sure your weapons have the synergy to do combos and the bad guys should die a lot faster, requiring less ammo. I'll try this out as combos was low on my to-do list. Plus you get drops that shorten cool downs and increase capacity.
I do agree that as a new type of game launch it will take them awhile to really finish the game. I'll probably just focus on The Division 2 and skip this one for awhile, unless I see something that proves the game will actually be finished when it launches.
"We all do the best we can based on life experience, point of view, and our ability to believe in ourselves." - Naropa "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." SR Covey
I'll try tomorrow maybe I can play.
Apparently you've missed the fact how NPCs focus on you when you are the highest DPS person in the group. And most of the time it looked like I was *the only* person doing DPS because the rest of the team struggled with the lack of ammo while I've used combos/abilities/whatever the thing is called which is supposed to replace shooting in the "shooter" game.
Gameplay of the demo is practically soloing in four-man difficulty - unless, of course, you just AFK and drink beer during whole fight to allow your teammates to "enjoy" the process of searching ammo in the middle of shooting :-)
