LastLevel Studio has announced that its MMO shooter, SteamCraft, is now in open beta testing. Anyone interested in giving it a try can head to the game's official site, sign up and receive a key that can be redeemed on Steam. SteamCraft allows players to collect and assemble a unique vehicle using a wide array of components. "There's no limit to what you can create" including both ground and air vehicles to rain terror down on opponents.

    I read it as that too. I got super excited thinking I missed some news about a Starcraft MMOFPS. Also looking into this, this is not an MMO at all, this is a lobby shooter. It looks like a Crossout / World of Tanks / War Thunder clone.

    This kind of reminds me of that MMO that was exclusively you driving cars and killing things. It was literally nothing else, yet it was an MMO. I can't remember the name of it. Auto somethingsomething Online.

    Hoped this one was kinda like Auto Assault but guess its not an mmo at all but again just another kind of Crossout.

    Still looking for a game like Auto Assault but never found one close to it, too bad its gone

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    They are calling everything MMO these days. Soon, online card games will be MMO. Tetris, MMO! Pong! MMO!

    If anyone ask, I would say this is exactly Crossout with another name slap on and call it new game. Calling it an mmo is close enough as a classification, if this game made it to the top where million are playing it, I guess it would fit in that sense.

    People are too headstrong in regards in labeling, MMO had became a lose interpretation where more than 2-16 players, always online, free 2 play, pay to win and whatever else had bits of a classic mmo could be label as an MMO. For most ppl labeling isn't as important as the game themselves.

    Anyrate, this is Crossout or what not, looks the same game asset too in the trailer, if it sound like one and looks like one then it a duck . . . or its Crossout. LMAO renaming a thing don't really change what it was nor does fixing a few bugs or added a thing or two would make it any newer or shiner either.

    I played Crossout it wasn't bad just a lobby shooter/pay2win with grinding nightmare are made of. Uninstalled fast once I learn how progression is pay or grind till my madmax car turns into another pile of junk on the road. To ppl running this game do they not understand by doing those things will ultimately a waste of time or money if the game design having ppl spending 10k to get to the top of junk pile.

    Its always sadden me to see how any fun game turn into a wasteful poop by mindless decision of the executive with no understand how or why ppl even play games. Just another dumbass business man who thinks if they sell snake oils, will work out and make them rich magically o.O?! I'm getting too old for them on trying milking ppl and not contributing for the better but worsten MMO as a whole.

    ALL this DLC/P2W/MTX/LOOT BOXES/BR crap need to stop or else the gaming we love will all turn into more pile of poopy made games. Again business ppl make use of ppl passion for cheap labor for massive gain but the passion will dry up when it does youre going down hill from there. Replacing ppl is one of those rarity thing, its not the same like a fine unique instrument, in other word, most of the time is unrepeatable. The saying goes poor substitution is not a good idea.
