mmorpg junkie since 1999
Tho they need to make cities lighten up during the night, think adding a touch of cyberpunk to the city would liven it up quite a bit
Note yet and it still in ALPHA
People pay 35 to 45$ for starter package and game is in development as none are made with a magic wand.
Beside that, some spending more than starter package (let's pick 1000$), it is not more expensive than MMO's with subscription and micro-transaction.
Beta in Q2 2020. Quality takes time. If you can't wait, just grab Fallout 76... Publisher did released it because of date versus quality.
Sure will never release like it was "collapse 90 days top for sure!"... 5 years ago LOL
It was not pushed back 4 years this is a lie. Scope change for 2 triple-A with Backers approval. Obfuscation and lie are what remain from few remaining naysayers around.
Original release date was like 2014 but was postponed like 4/5 years to add little features and make a standalone fps too...... this game while it looks good its built on a lie that its coming soonTM, people paid on the "Kickstarter" to play when it was supposed to originally release but the company took all that kickstarter money and thought we got all this now lets make them wait while we try to get even more funding....
I just hope when it is finally released that expectation vs reality doesnt make it bomb alot and all the hype they built up was worth it because if it isnt its gonna really make cloud imperium games have egg on their face.
Personally i hope it does well i love this genre and have been waiting for this for too long now!
Oh look - someone who does not know that the Argo is an old, existing design.

The usual:
People who try to be witty, but lacking even basic understanding of the game they speak about, exposing their own lack of knowledge for all to read.
Have fun
The idea of owning a ship should have been done with immersion and NOT by adding them into the game via some magical cash shop outside the game world.
Attaining a ship should have been something to work towards and feel proud of your accomplishment, like needing several crafts and a station to build it,hire a crew to work on it,maybe a technician, an engineer, tradesmen, then you need to salvage the materials to give to your crew/tradesmen.Then you can craft and design paint colors to color your ship and give it logos.
Then after the ship is built, you search for blueprints on various planets, perhaps building friends with various cultures and receiving blueprints that way.So then you work towards the blueprints and building your add-ons,again feeling proud that YOU earned it,YOU built it,immersive and realistic.
What SC is nothing more than a cash shop in space,a game that if done right could be a wondrous AAA game but nope,Robert's had to fuel his greed for money above game design and game PLAY and took away everything the game COULD have been.
So since day 1 because of poor implementation of game ideas, the game will never be more than at least to me a complete fail and a non immersive one at that.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Perhaps I will take a look/
This is not that day.
It was.
We had Empires run by Emperors, we had Kingdoms run by Kings, now we have Countries...
