Anything like Avernum on Steam?

MightyUncleanMightyUnclean Member EpicPosts: 3,531
Hey guys,

I have a $20 credit just sitting on Steam.  Is there maybe some indie or other old-school type RPG, like Avernum, that might be worth picking up?  Or, any other suggestions on something fun?

Thanks!

Gonna be a smartass and say Avernum 2 or

    Knights of the Chalice

    Icewind Dale

    Pillars of Eternity

    Baldurs Gate

    Neverwinter Nights

There's lots to chose from just from the top of my head.

Ahh man, Spiderwed Software just had a sale on all its titles, Avernum, Avadon, Geneforge. The last two are definitely recommendations if you like Avernum.

Another nice suggestion is Balrum, you might like it.

    Kyleran on yours sincerely

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'

Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

Balrum definetly like lahnmir suggested! Then maybe Eschalon book 1, 2 & 3 or Inquisitor.

I'd hold out on Geneforge as SS are doing a remaster at the end of the year.
