Im looking for a good mmorpg that includes these key features

-Decent interface

-Strong pvp system

-player built cities, seige weaponry, player built forts/castles, power for landscape to change over time by different player groups building in one place or raiding another place and destroyign a building or burning a whole villiage.

Im looking for strong rp and pvp type game, with i guess a few political elements avilible.

I think Shadowbane is the only MMO like that, but I am not sure if it is still running or if it is on it's last leg or not.

DAoC has seiges in pvp zones and it is factional, but they aren't player ran cities. You can own the Keep and upgrade it, but there isn't a political system or economy associated with it.

Lineage 2 has most of what you ask for except player ran cities. You have castles you can take and run, but you can't build a city. There is a economy system with it too.

Dark and Light is boasting to have everything your asking for in a game and will be out this month, but it's getting a bad rap right now, so you might want to let it mature for a few months, while you watch it's progress.

Lineage 2's pve system isn't too good and is full of bots I used to play it, i liked the castles system a lot there.  DnL looks good if they have everything they said, me and my friend are looking for a similar mmorpg.  Dark and Light looks promising but im hearing that it's got some serious interface issues at this time, but a game like that would have a lot of rp potential if it had the right interface and everything to make it easy to play.  But also I've found it'll be hard to get a copy of it EBgames, Gamestop none of them are offering it on preorder or anything, if you know where to find it please letme know.

    Eve.

Your faction claims sovereignty, builds bases, you mine the system, defend it, build ships, ammo, everything.

In other games, it starts off exciting and gets boring. In this one its the opposite. It starts you off doing Fedex missions, you do them, build up your capital, learn the interface, learn the game, look for a good corp to teach you, that has access to at least lowsec.

It just keeps getting better and better.

I get on teamspeak, ask for gang, 5 minutes later I'm in a fleet defending our holdings.

If your faction loses sovereignty, you lost your home, and the faction might end up running back to empire, broke and licking their wounds.

    Basically PVP sharktank.

For non-pvp players, they can become traders, recruiters, scientists, miners and builders, they face the same risks of getting jumped, but you don't have to fight. Just take losses as business expense. Fly small fast ship and just avoid combat, you can do your thing and never have to face another player. Hopefully your faction can defend the home, you can go out and harvest resources, build ships and ammo for faction.

There is a way to be a PVE fighter, but its really just to make money, and have some target practice against weak foes.

Sorry, all combat is in space(ships), and it is very Sci-Fi.

I heard Lineage 2 was a clan based pvp game, never played it but it looks fantasy.

There is a game like that....It's called ShadowBane. Try it out, it's free. It's one of the best MMORPGS I've played, because you can actually change the world, destroy cities and control resources. It's also completely free PvP after you leave newbie island. It's not a very impressive game at first sight, so stick with it to until after newbie island, get a guild and have an amazing time.

I really think you should read through www.darkfallonline.com

Darkfall hasn't been released yet. Its far into development and close to beta. They'll have something to show at E3 in a few days time.... Definatly worth a look.
