Love the game and the gameplay. However they still need a lot more to it. Playing the same loop over and over from lvl 1 to 30 and beyond can and has gotten boring now. There is 0 variety in the game. Loot is one thing but how many times can someone run the same mission over and over before they get fed up?
I think it was a mistake for them to stick with modern weaponry in a game that has much more advanced tech happening in it. IMO they should have went the borderlands route with weapon variety and crazy combos.

I question the need for guns at all. Putting additional suit power slots on the trigger button would be much cooler.
The Storm could slot the Frost Shards, Fireball, rapid thunder bolts.
The Ranger, Collosus, and Interceptor could socket a full auto, burst, or shotgun attachment on their arm cannon.
Anthem, the game alone identifies a lot of the problems at Bioware right now, its a dying game that they just can't fix fast enough without breaking something else in the process, i think Bioware now are close to gone, all it takes is for Division 2 to be even a moderate success and thats it, goodbye to whatever is left of Anthems much abused playerbase.

Sorry but I don't agree at all. The comparison between the two games is way overused. While I am taking a break from Anthem to wait for more to do, I have no interest whatsoever in TD2. I tried the beta and the cover shooter thing is in no way comparable to the fun that is the flying/combat in Anthem. People who haven't played it literally have no idea. They are the ones making these comparisons cause you know, it's way more fun to bash a game.

I have played both, and they're both very clearly competing within the same genre (looter shooter). Games don't have to be exactly the same to compete. Indeed, genres would be very boring if that were the case.
Division 2 has way more polish and a much more solid direction. It knows what it wants to be within the looter shooter genre, and it presents that thing to the player well. The cover shooting mechanics are well-done, the enemy AI and types are leagues beyond Anthem (creating a much larger tactical challenge).
I said before Anthem released that it would have trouble held up in comparison to Division 2, and that is most certainly the case. At this point, if you're a fan of the general looter shooter genre: Division 2 just does looter shooter much better than Anthem.
you my firend are talking bollocks as i have got 4 legendary items today and 2 yesterday, but befor the patch i have not had 1 in over a week.
Stop playing gm1 and do gm2 strongholds

Rofl dying game ? you have proof of this ? long queue times i guess for strongholds or doing contracts solo as no people to join ? another person talking bollocks every contract i join is full and every stronghold i queue up for is instant
and as for the div 2 ffs its crouch shoot crouch shoot it never changes...it might have more contect but when all you do is crouch and shoot i am sorry but i will take flying around like iron man and blowing stuff up with combo's over crouch and shoot + the div 2 has had years to come up content that they have held back from div 1 so they can charge you full price for what could have been an expansion and when i say full price £214.99 for the Phoenix Shield Edition what a f***ing joke
Why do people feel the need to get upset with the general consensus of a game when the information about the game is coming from the actual players of the game? Especially when it's substantiated by the people making the game?
"You only played the demo! You didn't pay the money then figure it out later! You didn't dedicate 40hrs a week of your life playing the gaaame! HOW COULD YOU KNOW!? HOW COULD YOU KNOOOOW!!?"
Ummmm.... the demo, the thousands of people who play and talk about their experience, live streams, the developer responses and public forums.
Getting mad about people piling on, doesn't change the nature of the original tackle.
"As far as the forum code of conduct, I would think it's a bit outdated and in need of a refre *CLOSED*"

You literally say this shit after doing the same thing to Div2 in defense of what appears to be your precious (Anthem). The irony is heavy. And fucking sad.

and as far as i can tell on these forums most people just love to hate on ahthem
and yes i did talk shit about the div 2 as many in here have come to an anthem post just to bitch and say the div 2 is better

this post tells me all i need to know... you love the div 2 and will not give anthem a break even tho its a new IP this div 2 team has had years learning from the div 1 and if i remember was a dumpster fire when it came out, so maybe you give anthem the time to fix all the stuff just like div 1 did ?
People bitch about not enough loot...so they fix it and people still bitch ffs

You're utterly wrong. I played Anthem through the end of the story campaign missions (around level 25), and have commented elsewhere regarding Anthem, citing its good and bad points.
As a looter shooter, it's a poorer entry into the genre than Division 2 (or Destiny 2 at this point, for that matter). Bioware has time to correct it because it's their first effort. But the timing with Div2's subsequent release shortens that window, because it makes Anthem look worse by comparison.
I've moved on from Anthem, did so before Div2 released, but now that I have Div2, if I'm feeling the looter shooter itch, I'm not launching Anthem. At least not until Bioware irons out the rough edges. Div2 scratches that itch better, even if there's no flying.

Anthem has had years to learn from the successes and failures of other looter shooters and yet the only thing they got right with 6+ years of development was the combat. If Bioware can get their shit together (like Ubisoft did with Div 1) and make their game something that's worth playing then I'll gladly come back. Until then, I'm more than happy playing the Division 2 and the other games I have.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
I see an Anthem article and I don't even read the article anymore I come to see the comments back and forth. I still play the game and yes it has problems but man there are some serious people here.
"You think this "A" stands for France?" Captain America
I'm getting pretty bored with all these keyboard warriors bitching about Anthem without actually having a clue. Yeah it's got its downsides, and could have use a bit more polish but the game is so much fun to play, I don't care about any of that. They're fixing it, and I'm having a great time playing while they do.
I have no problems getting my guys GM2 ready, because loot drops like crazy in GM1, which means I can easily get all my guys to 600+ before going to GM2 (Which is still not easy at 600+ by the way).
If you haven't played the game, you really should just shut up. You're being a whiner with 2nd hand information, that often isn't even accurate and you sound like spoilt children most of the time.
Quick tip:
Play the missions and all the side quests until you finish all of them. That will get you to about 22/23 or so and it unlocks reputation items. Then just run missions/strongholds, etc on hard mode until your gear scrore is around 500. (It's not hard to do).
Once you hit 500, run everything on GM1 until you get to around 600+ before changing to GM2. Anything before that, the mobs are bullet sponges and you are spending most of your time watching the others play while you're dead. The suggested minimum gear scores are set way too low IMO.
You'll also be the guy the rest of your team is swearing at the whole game, cause you're no use to your team at all.

In a very boring fashion as I said earlier. The "cover shooting mechanics" have no appeal to me whatsoever. What do you do in these games? You kill things and if I don't find that fun (as in Div 2) it doesn't matter what the hell the game does, it's not for me. I'm not bashing the game I'm just giving you my reasons why they don't compete for me personally. I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. It's the same reason I can't get into POE. It does so many things well except for me, the combat sucks. The rest doesn't matter.
I see an Anthem article and I don't even read the article anymore I come to see the comments back and forth. I still play the game and yes it has problems but man there are some serious people here.

Why do all Anthem fans keep saying same thing. "You don't play or haven't played it" Plenty of people have played it. They found it lacking. Instead of repeating the same non-sense. How about actually addressing the points people are making. Hiding your head in the sand and not addressing the issues isnt the way to go.

Why do people keep putting all who like Anthem in the same boat? Sorry but they don't all say the same thing. That's just your way of categorizing people who like something you don't. Why do people like you find it so hard to understand that some folks have different tastes?
Anyway what points? The game is not complete, has anyone denied that? They have the foundation for a good game and they say they are going to stick with it. Those of us who find it fun hope that comes to pass.

All I see is the same shit that has been going on about any game since games and the internet came together: those that don't like the game attack the game and the fans attack the attackers.
I have Origin access basic so I played enough to know I dislike it. Besides, @Gdemami seems to like it. That's good enough for me to stay far away from it.
