Now that The Division 2 has been out for a week, developers are showcasing what the community can expect in the coming days, weeks and months ahead. Devs acknowledge the importance of player feedback to help track down issues to solve them as quickly as possible. The next patch will deal with some nagging issues including the Group Scaling bug that makes playing different leveled players nearly impossible.

But now that I reached end game (world tier 4 so far) I kinda feel... loot fatigue. I can only repaly missions I already played and capture/kill random stuff on the map, but it feels a bit off and... boring.
I want to love this game, but somehow can't really bring myself to login anymore. And when I do, I feel like falling asleep within 10 minutes.
I've spent most of my time getting all the SHD caches. There are several hidden ones you need to find if you wish to get all of the skills unlocked.
Sitting at around 460 gear score, which is pretty meaningless as when WT5 opens, I'll probably replace all that gear within an hour.
I'm also leveling each of the class trees. Those take a while because the only way to really level them is to continue... leveling. I am pretty much done with survivalist and have started demolitionist. Then I have sharpshooter.
Not entirely exciting, especially since loot has kind of stalled, and exotic weapons are so scarce, but I still have a lot to accomplish, and I've barely touched the DZ.
I guess if this game was a bit more MMO, with a persistent open world (even if it's just a few people per instance) I would be much more motivated. But I don't feel like specifically inviting random people to roam around, so it's mostly just a single player scavenger hunt. Feels a bit tedious and like work at this point, especially since the core gameplay loop feels a bit too boring for my personal taste.
I still have hopes for the DZ in the long run, though. If that turns out to be fun, it might be all the motivation I need to find fun in the parts of the game which feel like work.
[e] I also don't really like the "throwaway" loot system. I don't feel attached to any of the pieces at all, since you replace them every few minutes. I hope this stops at some point in WT5, when you can start working on sidegrades for your gear and real builds instead of swapping a new piece with +2GS every 5 minutes.
[e2] I am also one of those suckers who pre-ordered the game after the much-hyped video of mullet-guy-with-painted-fingernails. I guess endgame IS exactly how he described it, yet it doesn't feel nearly as exciting as it did in my head.
I agree with the loot system. I'm leveling a second character to help level my clan mates, and I don't even care what I equip at this point. At 30, and 450 GS, if you want to progress, you have to basically grind proficiency caches, and once you find the gear you like, you recalibrate to get up to 470. That's essentially where I'm sitting now, and I'm generally pretty invincible solo.
Same experience. Although I've recognized it during betas - saved me the purchase, too busy playing AC Odyssey NG+ anyway. Maybe later - after couple expansions and 50% discount.
Thank you for your time!

Yep, taking your time and enjoying the full range of content is definitely the best why to go. Got to WT4 last night, 42h played, and didn't have any of the issues (e.g. gear level requirements) that speed levelling youtubers were complaining about. Also, while the 'end-game' is a bit different, and the gear gets a bit more interesting, there is really no reason to rush it.
Happens in any online mmo usually, you got your crowd that rushes it and gets it done in a short time then whines there is nothing to do. Its really silly more so in mostly pve games to rush it. Yeah dark zone is a open pvp area but from what I heard its mostly a ghost town. Either lack of players or lack of interest since you don't even need the DZ to get maxxed gear.
Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:
A. Proven right (if something bad happens)
or
B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)
Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!
Division 2 seems to have learned from their mistakes and some. One reviewer I watched even said that he thinks it sets the benchmark again for looter shooters, even in a field with some strong contenders like Borderlands 2.
That's pretty high praise, and I think I might go in at full price this weekend... that's something I almost never do.
If you can get The Division 1 at a bargain deal somewhere, I would definitely give it a try. Just the level 1 to 30 experience is worth it.
Roaming around New York in a Post Apocalyptic setting is just fantastic. It's really well done.
I like The Division 2 and the improvements they made, but I do miss the New York setting from Division 1.
