My problem with the Ranger is he is locked into place to use any of his skills.

So let me get this straight, people actually play this game?

I mean, will this patch fix P2W aspect, or do this patch bring more microtransactions?

I had plenty of friends who liked this game cuz the leveling / story were fun with character progression, but I needed to tell them the end game no pay no win truth and they dropped the game mid way (one reason why they liked F2P cuz they had little money to pour into games). I don't think it's about my friends getting a job, but the paying wall is way too steep for this game. I paid like $300 within two month and I didn't get any real gratification but the feeling that I should pay more in order to compete, at all, for pug groups.

Aside from that, the game itself looked good. Just really wished this game isn't a cash shop with mini games.

Paywall is somewhat of a problem for dps characters in Neverwinter but a lesser one for healers and tanks. One way to progress without paying anything for the game is to start with a healer and use dungeon rewards to develop a dps character.

With the next module old gear and artifacts will become obsolete because of the leap in item power. The gap between veteran and new players will be mostly based on the quality of enchantments, insignias and companions. The worst thing for veteran players is that all the routines for their favourite classes are going to be scrambled because of major fundamental changes to classes, feats and powers.

If you don't want to spend money at end game don't play this game. Leveling up is a lot of fun though.

    How's Neverwinter anyhow?
Combat works in a very much the same way as it does in Elder Scrolls Online, except with a single hotbar. Instead of magicka/stamina, the game relies on cooldowns. There has been no magicka/stamina in Neverwinter but from now on with the upcoming huge changes I think there will be something like that for healer characters with divinity. They will have to regenerate divinity to cast their healing or other spells. Warlocks will be able to be healers too, but I think their healing will be based on hurting themselves or channelling damage they do to monsters into healing.

In comparison with Elder Scrolls Online, Neverwinter includes a lot more things besides weapons and armor which need to be improved in order to make a player character more powerful. These things include mounts (they give stats and powers and provide slots for mount insignias), companions (they advance in level, have four quality tiers and give powers and stat points to your character), mount insignias (four quality tiers, give stats to your character), weapon and armor enchantments (8 ranks), ordinary enchantments (15 ranks), companion runestones (15 ranks), artifacts (five quality tiers) and artifact equipment (four quality tiers).

Then there are also some additional things on top of all that, such as, collecting a lot of companions from the same category and improving them will increase a "bolster bonus" to your stats. For example, a chicken, a boar, a goat, a wolf and a goldfish are all categorised as "beasts". If you advance all of them, they will give a bolstering bonus to your primary active companion if it is a "beast" too.

In addition to that, collecting a water archon, flame archon, fire archon and air archon and having them all active will increase individual powers and bonuses from each archon. In other words, a few companions in the game belong in a series.

Since there are so many things to collect and advance to make your character more powerful, Neverwinter does feel a lot more elitist than ESO to many people.
