what game has the most fun dungeons?
what game has the most challenging dungeons?
what games dungeons offer the most variety?

which game’s raids feel most like dungeons?

and in which game do. You not like thedungeons?


so lets discuss dungeons...

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

    Most fun and immersible ever.


    But list time I played it the Cash shop killed it with its dungeon packages... It came down to who bought what package ?

    Yet at the same time Turbine got voted #1 for cash shops.  Figure that one out.

    EQ2 Dungeons i always found alot of fun and challenge particularly the first time thru , and again on Kaladim now when everyone isnt bloated(op) from all the bells and whistles over the years .The Vanilla EQ2 experience is pretty fun and challenging , soo many immersive dungeons imo

    EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests

    so lets discuss dungeons...
    I would say Dungeons and Dragons Online, offers some of the best dungeon design of any MMO. In fact, I encourage anyone that thinks they understand what Dungeons could be, to ty this game out and see what truly amazing dungeon design really is. Equally so, they had the best Raids of any game, hands down the best Raids.

    GW2, also gave a really nice take on Dungeons where they progressed, from a Starting Story into a Continuation, which I thought was a truly brilliant idea and a wonderful take on the more traditional static dungeons we see in other games. This also held true with Fractals having their own little interwoven story, which I thought was a nice touch.

    With that said, some of the more fun dungeons I have done, have been in Neverwinter's Foundry, the creativity of players was truly amazing, and in some cases funny, campy, and just a joy to do, but, at the same time this also where I have done some of the absolute worst dungeons ever, it's very hit/miss with PGC.

    Fans of DDO will know that most of the early quests rely on straight-down-the-line dungeon bashing in grim looking sewer settings.

    This means ... hordes of kobolds and oozes, every last one DESPERATE to NIBBLE your LOINCLOTH to SHREDS.

    The early kobold quests are especially well crafted and get you used to the flexible movement and combat system.

    Later, you enter classic D&D module territory and get to DIE HORRIBLY in quests like The Temple of Elemental Evil, White Plume Mountain and the infamous Slavers series.

    I can't think it will be too long before Gary Gygax's original Giant modules make an appearance, alongside other classics like Tamoachan and the Tomb of Horrors.

    Mean time, DDO has a whole bunch of its own proto-legendary adventures — THE PIT is as DUNGEON as you could ever need, while FRAME WORK sets you and your sword-swinging buddies loose in a minotaur village BULGING with horned fiends.

    I get we will disagree, and that is cool, we can just disagree.

    But I liked the idea of selling the modules, or dungeon packs, as, you didn't just get loot for your money, you got content, and you still had to earn the loot.

    So, even with this massive aggressive cash shop, there was always a sense of pride and worth in what gear and equipment you had, as everything you had, you had to earn.

    One of my absolute most favorite dungeons is not in an mmo but still amazing. It's in Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

    The Dungeon itself is interesting, the fights are interesting and it changes what you find each time you go through it.

    I absolutely love it.

    It has often been written Vanguard had some very well made dungeons back in its day.

    I never really played it much so can't confirm.

    For solo play, Legend of Grimrock brings the original Eye of the Beholder experience kicking and screaming into the new millennium.

    The graphics are srsly DUNGEON, the traps and monsters are cunningly deployed, and Death is always moments away.


    Darkest Dungeon simplifies gameplay and interactivity using a comicbook-style 2D approach ... but the underlying game mechanics are seriously fiendish.

    If you love zerging, neither of these games will appeal.

    If you like the feel of THE HAND OF DEATH on your shoulder, both games are inexpensive diversions from the MMO mayhem ...
