It's not that nobody wants a full pvp sandbox game, it's that nobody has made one as good as eve.
There were years of insanity regarding darkfall (and its respawns) because there is a pvp with loot crowd out there and some of them want fantasy over sci fi. It came close (IMHO) but never quite got to where it needed to be (some fatal game design flaws if you ask me but i never really did a root cause analysis).
Maybe this or Aria or CU will be the next big pvp game or maybe in 10 years we will still be in new eden.
I say "we" although i consider myself both a pve a d pvp person (see my current games un my sig)
RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed.
I find fun how people complain about the full loot and don't understand/tried it long enough to understand that once you play for real, with premium or not, you get to a point that losing gear isn't an issue.
ever.
but then again, the new gen of mmorpg players are fucking retarded soooooo.
yea.
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.
And the more you know Insanity, is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
But I can tell you that only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
Can it still be played on mobile/tablet? I played it a bit on my tablet at launch, but it stopped working at some point. Not sure why but I wasn't invested enough to care, so I moved on.
For those choosing to stay in yellow zones what keeps them playing in a largely PvP game? Can they do trade work, or function as merchants? What is the draw for them there?

Personally, I dont think a lot of people understand the real goal, which is the maintain dominance. People who have high end crafting/gathering are the ones that are invaluable in a game like this since territory domination doesn't really mean much without them. Sure there's other things you can do withing crafting and gathering but you need to be pretty diverse in your guild's portfolio if you want to keep what you got in potentially contested areas. I'm not really a fan of full loot pvp but it honestly works to a game of this type's advantage given that things are constantly needed. The main thing I think that will end up culling people from the game will be the level of investment this game can potentially have in regards to time since you can't really hunker down in one spot and call it a day if you want to play well. Its possible, just not smart.

It all depends on what your goal in the game is. Everything will come much slower if you stay in blue/yellow but you also don't run the risk of losing everything. You won't be able to gather highest tier materials but you can sell things on the market to buy what you need.
Find a group of people with similar goals and stick with em to do what you want to do.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Full loot mmo's are garbage and will never make any real money. Most fail and close. Hopefully this one will too. STOP MAKING THESE GAMES.
Eve online is full loot and its been around longer than you were born. There is a crowd out there for this.

Its a mix of Darkfall, Diablo and Warcraft 3 that has grown on me so far.
Daily achievements and the Learning points system have kept me interested. Destiny board seems to work ok. Turned off global chat during minute 1.
If I find a decent guild I may stay awhile. Should be fun pvping and pveing the pvp zones during aussie times. Lag will hurt but I'm used to that.
Worth a look.
you can still claim the rewards tho!
So What Now?
