Looking For A Guild

Greetings,

I've been thinking about joining Vanguard when it comes out, and am looking to get involved with a guild.  I'm a mature (over 40 so stop asking) and casual player.  I'm not overly chatty, but my sense of humor can keep guildmates rolling on the floor.

My first guild experience was in EQ1 in a huge guild with 300+ members, that was not a very good time.  Too many members diluted the cause and direction.  My current EQ2 guild, where I'm an officer and the Recruiter, has about 20 members (70+ characters), and there is a great sense of family and community where each member can contribute and have worth.

I'm looking for a mature, casual, family-style guild that is also organized.  I'd prefer to join one with a medium population (40+).  Being a family man, I play at odd hours, primarily evenings 8-10PM PST, and may have to suddenly log off due to family-son-daughter-baby-chores-helpwithhomework-gotothestore-wife-mowthelawn agro.

I'd like the guild to have a website and forums for the members.

What I don't want is raid or attendance requirement, uber-7331-speak, and whining.  Just looking for a mature group of mellow folks that like to get together and game, group or solo, and have fun!

    Hi Kindle,

    Sacred Haven may be just what you are looking for.  We are a mature guild and more of a core (base) player community.  We will be raiding when we get to a point where that is viable, however we have never, and will never, make raiding mandatory.

    Hi just signed up to this site today..have been hanging out at the VSOH forums..but come launch those will disappear except for technical support as I understand it.

    I too, am looking for a guild..am like the OP..older..and looking for a friendly, mature family type of guild atmosphere.  I tend to be independent ..only asking for help when I absolutely can't do things myself.   I like to help others and am a very loyal guildie often donating stuff to the guild bank, items and money.

    I love a good joke, long as its not at someone else's expense, like to stick up for the underdog, I don't encourage beggars and expect others to stand on their own two feet as I do.  I have played online games (mmorpgs) since about 1995...have been in many guilds, and have even been leader a couple or three times.  I usually like to stay in the background however, as leading or being an officer isn't really my thing. :)

    I would like to offer you a spot within Twilight Avengers.. we are a mature grrop of players.. well mature in the sense that we dont go around with a tone of l33t speek. look for our gould on the listing here and come over and read our forums. we do have a main page in development but till its done we are just using the forums to keep in touch with each other. so stop by and see if what we aredoing is what you are looking for..
