The latest Atlas patch notes have been published to bring a new in-game event to players as well as to inform the community that the Empire Server has been shut down and replaced with a North American PvE network. The PvE network will utilize the Colonies system, but devs have committed to supporting both "open-ended PvP and more controlled, rule-based PvP".

Shutting down the mega servers already??
Most people have not even finished their current games until they go back for another month in this one, i don't understand their thinking.. Let it run for some months at least..

All they are doing is changing the NA Empires server back into the NA PVE server, which is what it was before the 1.5 update. It made no sense to get rid of the most populated server, which was NA PVE and turn it into a pvp server with a new experimental rule set.

This is the change I was waiting for so me and my friends could come back, looking forward to playing again after work tonight

No the game is in early access aka beta you give up to easily the game that isnt even live yet. And 15 bucks is hardly a big investment.

Usually people got payed to play game in such terrible state. Keep lying to urself, no price can excuse the amount of bugs the game had, the amount of server issues, not to mention misleading players with the trailer, or devs lying to player when they claimed it's not ARK remake.

I hardly doubt the game will stay alive for another whole year.
If it does, kudos the the devs.

Funilly enough, Breach was also early access, and cheaper ($25/$10) yet it's servers are shutting down in a week, despite only launching in January...

How can u compare Breach with ARK ?
The amount of resources ARK had probably can't even compare to what devs at Breach had.

Well i guess you havent been gaming since the 80s. When UO launched closed beta it was a cluster fk fest. With all the problems it still launched, Many games go through major changes and wipes etc happen in a Beta. The new term Early access is the same as a damn beta test. I managed to get to 62 before the wipe. Now i know the game im already 50 in a few weeks.

For some people a $15 game is good only if they will be wanting to play the game for 10 years without a break. Crazy.

Go pay for a 2hr movie then ask your self if 15 dollars is worth 100s of hours of entertainment .
