Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.- FARGIN_WAR

Also deny people the option to play female avatars? In 2019? In the time where a developer was prosecuted for making an egalitarian rpg? Good luck.
Whoever remembers that, you're getting old.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.
It's kind of fun to play dress up with a female avatar, I mean, it is much more diversity in what you can wear as a female than as a male.
You can see my sci-fi/WW2 book recommendations.
Although I'd prefer to just have MMO developers stop needlessly sexualizing their characters, regardless of gender.
I personally find it disturbing when people connect sexualisation with the choice of attire. It leads to the reinforcement of rape culture and the notion that the choice of attire is directly connected to sexual acceptance.
Removing sexy attire or even worse, removing selectively from only one sex, further reinforce this notion that the choice of clothes and sexual acceptance are directly connected. When in reality they can be completely unrelated.
