Granado Espada - Open Beta

I was wondering if there's anyone else playing this game right now.  I really would like to discuss this game with other people, but it doesn't seem like a lot of people are playing this game....although it is a bit hard to play it without any Japanese/Korean knowledge. 

Also, if you do a search for 'Granado Espapda' there is a news bit that says that Hanbit Soft was supposed to bring out the game in the US, but if you click on the news bit, it's not there.  I have also heard rumors that this is no longer the case.  Will this game still make it across the pacific?

    Quite a few of us currently play Granado Espada.  Some on the korean servers, others on the japanese servers.  From everything i've heard recently.  The Internation Client for GE.   Hasn't exactly been cancelled, but it isnt really being worked on anymore.  At least not right now.  With any luck many someone will pick up the license for it.  (Codemasters you listening?)

    Not sure if registering for F-games forum is still mandatory or not.  Not that big of a deal, doesn't cost anything.

    I'm currently playing on the Japanese server right now and was wondering if there is any more quests to do after you finish up all 3 of the main dungeons.  It seems like after that, all you do is grind to level up your characters and stances.  I really hope that they add in more quests in the future.  While the gameplay is fun, I don't think grinding till the end is a good end game solution.

    There are actually quite a few quest.  Like the ones for NPC cards.  Finding lost items.  Some just to increase your Family points so you can increase the size of your barracks.  Some to raise the rank of your family so you can create a guild.

    Think you don't get any more quest till around 55 or 60 when you roll into the 3rd city (Aoch or whatever it's called).

    I have a problem. Everytime I try to launch the game, I get somekind of IME Name Error. Please Help.

    I never played it, tho  every game deserves a try no matter how  childish,cute,bad,odd,lame,stupid,cool,etc. it looks.. to me its all in the the gameplay and strategy but.. hey if it does come to US i will be glad Sounds abit interested from what I can even read/translate at the site..

    I got this error message after starting the game (or better Updater)

    No idea what it mean.

    Go to Control Panel>Regional and Language Options>Advanced> and change Language for non-Unicode programs to Japanese. reboot and run.

    This game is Quite beautiful. Lovely graphics. Good music. Any company who picks this up for International or any English language would be wise to do so. Though I hope they keep the voice recognitions to Japanese (The character respond when you click to move from time to time)

    This game would be better if I understood anything in it, haha. Although I don't know about the above problem. This is for the "IME name:" one

    I also have that weird error....and the screen which is patching.....hasn't stopped patching...o.o

    Is there some sort of big file ??

    Or do I gotta uninstall and reinstall the game?

    Is anyone actually playing right now?

    Hey,

    I installed the game, and I'm patching it for like 5 houres now

    If it reaches 100% (bottom one) it just starts over.. Dunno what to do

    I hope someone knows whats wrong

    EDIT:

    Well, at a certain moment the upper progress bar stuck at 80% and the bottom one at 100%, but it didn't say it was done or something. After waiting for like half an hour i decided to push the first (blank) button.

    There came a window and i pushed Yes.

    Then i pushed the first button again (there is some text on it now)

    Then there came a window with Runtime Error!

    I hope someone can help me, cuz I really want to play this game

    Spellcheck before you post & yes it shows your IP TO YOURSELF because its nedeed for using the internet (& by looking at the IP you can determine which ISP you are using, the webbrowser tells what operative system & webbrowser you are using, blame html-coding for having it).
    So in conclusion everything is how it should be while you are "surfing".

    Ontopic: Granado Espada has still a horrendous site & (yet again) uses pictures for showing text(!), I guess the webmaster is to lazy to learn proper tables & html.
    Then there is the issue of using babblefish for translating into english. (Seriously, its english words but none of the sentences make any sense).

    No in conclusion is things like that are Shady and no mature man or woman would really find it something they would like to see wether they're ignorant to computer ways or not. This is just a anoying childish banner and I feel it does not fit mmorpgs.com style or any other companys in the world for that fact would u see any banner advertised like that cause its just bad marketing (not that your marketing anything) but if u had some mature thought you'de know what im talkin about. If you want to debate this more fine but dont be a child and flame on sp or typeing errors,  you just continue to prove my point.

    The message says 'Error: Cannot connect to the download server." 

    You probably have some sort of firewall enabled for your network connection.

    I never got the runtime error before, but you can try rebooting the system and then run the game again.  If you can't click on the 'start' button to run the game, just check the box that says 'start game after patching'.  It's the one of the bottom left corner, the top selection.  The bottom one is 'run game in windowed mode'.

    The game is fine i might add,but it does remenber me of the of "korean grindfest" thing :)

    For example,you can have acess to new chars ( aside from the original warrior,mage,blabla),the new chars are sometimes improved versions,or hybrids.You can aquire them by completing quests or sometimes gathering a ridiculous amount of items to deliver to npc,there was this one i had to collect 500 buffalo horns - and that was only so i could get to play as that npc,one of the begginer ones,imagine one of the late game,lvling also started to get realy slow after lvl ~23

    custumization is realy bad,you will go into town and find 487548 clones of you
    one of the things i liked best in this game were the BGM and the GFX
    in my opinion its a game that i would play,if it was free,otherwise i prefer to waste my money on some other game(EvE,WoW,etc)

    here,couple ss of me,taken when the beta went live,some lost quality,because i converted them whit paint
