When the v1.1.1 update goes live in Anthem, it will come with a number of bug fixes, but also with the removal of the Elysian Caches, a reward mechanic that was put in place about a month ago. Elysian Caches rewarded players with better chances for obtaining cosmetic gear, though BioWare said that "they were always planned as a temporary thing". The door isn't shut, however, on a possible return in the future.

Bioware removes one of their long term rewards systems.
I swear, Bioware are the dodo of the gaming industry.
was lootsystem designer i think
"I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!"
"hey, we removed your cosmetic lootbox, you will surely like it. but don't worry, you can still buy em all!"
you didn't see that reaction comming? seriously?
"I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!"
Still, I'm waiting to buy the game - in July probably since it'll be ~5 months after release: development of Mass Effect Andromeda stopped four months after release and I want to be (at least partially) sure they won't do the same with Anthem. Although it'll surely kill all pre-orders for Dragon Age which is based on exactly the same GaaS scheme as Anthem.
edit: also people compare update 1.1.1 to MEA's 1.10 - the last one before announce about development shutdown. They are somewhat similar - few unimportant fixes, nothing substantial. And that sales report for shareholders is coming out in few hours...
Thank you for your time!
Of course, anyone would agree I think. That’s my point though, no matter what they do, it’s either shit, jacked up, and or the community hates it. Personally I hate all these loot boxes and crates an shit. Put the shit In the game and make it acquirable through in-game means. All it is is just more nickel and dime bullshit
I though the joke was the game
Now the game need a bloody miracle patch some solid marketing to save it... if it is salvageable at all. To bad, there was some nice ideas in there... Sadly they drowned in a river of.. well.. shit. So glad i used the EA origins route to try the game out. The full experience, not a single dime spent on it per se.
I expect to see it in a humble bundle in about 6 months. If it is not shut down by then.
This have been a good conversation
Didn't misread it, they did say in the description that the caches were a temporary reward. The removing it not being smart is an understatement though because the game is already starved of content so removing things should be the least of their priorities; especially when they already said they were going to delay things even further.
Thank you for your time!
If this game shut's down by the end of the month, a class action lawsuit should be inline for refunds.
