As a result of the widely known information about World of Warcraft: Rise of Azshara v8.2, last week’s interview during the media summit was a bit tricky. However, WoW’s Lead Encounter Designer Morgan Day and Senior Game Producer Shani Edwards had new things to offer around a few very particular portions of 8.2.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So the same eta from like a year ago when it first got announced that they were working on them....future patch. Kind of reminds me of the BE model delay which didn't come until like 1-2 years after the others. As for Tyrande (and Malfurion), that 8.1 warfront trailer was the best they've ever been shown as characters. Unfortunately, it was tied to warfronts...../smh. Aside from the obvious garbage system I've been harping about since beta (of refarming the same damn azerite pieces and multiple sets if you like playing more than one spec), the azerite essence is honestly not going to do much. Chances are we'll get 1-2 more after this, so that's what? 1-2 more cooldowns to pop? Ontop of most classes playing like garbage until 9.0. Most classes pretty much have a 3-4 button rotation at this point, so this crap is like giving each spec an Ultimate.....
Of course Sylvanas as the Lich Queen is also possible, but more as a figurehead of a previously mentioned race than as being the archetypal villain of an expansion. I think a re- imagined visit to Northrend isn't unlikely in some way .... even becoming the actual Stronghold for a third faction.
Just speculating ...
If I'm reading the forums over at wow correctly what the main 'side' is saying is they think the story-telling is terrible. The devs, as per usual deflect, and as per usual a gaming "journalist" doesn't call them on their bs.
Yeah, seems like they evened it out for the Night Elves. And forgotten again haha.
“Shortly after Rise of Azshara, you’ll see that,” Morgan explained.
So not quite that indefinite.
Someone will always disapprove of the direction the story goes, so no surprise there. I'm curious how the story this time around is "bad".
I do have to admit the guy did seem a bit clueless though.
A bit disappointed on the customization side. They could do so much very easily in WoW. It's pretty sad how much they actually give you.
Also Tyrande: I think just one Val'kyr will do
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
