Anthem devs have been largely silent for the last several weeks, but it seems they are still working on the game as evidenced by today's surprise update. Most notably, today's patch brings three Emerald Abyss Legendary Missions on board alongside a number of tweaks to creatures, Javelins and strongholds as well as a number of bug fixes.

Honestly, it reminds me so much of how Andromeda was handled. Lots of talk before and right after release. Then....nothing. With Andromeda, it meant its death. With Anthem, I'm betting on F2P.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My goodness. How much more paint by number can they make it?
EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests
Anthem was the most fun demo I've ever played.

There is no reward reason to do them, they aren't part of the game's farming loop. And they don't even have daily quests. Yes, wrap your head around that. An entire alleged endgame mission type doesn't have daily quests.
I'm not betting F2P..I think EA will shut it down rather than go that road if this intensive silence/mega patch cycle doesn't turn it into Warframe or see a recovery like FF XIV ...I said it other places and I'll say it here..I got what I paid for out of it so I'm not going to say it's bad, just like overall I never had a real problem with Andromeda ..but it isn't one I'm going back and playing every week with my backlog project in full swing.
Free to play are for games that normally charge a $15 monthly fee. They fail, then switch to F2P and charge $15 a month for premium account.
Anthem will have DLCs and Expansion add-ons.
You're betting wrong!
Anthem going F2P during summer/autumn is a real perspective so I expect them to try pulling the same crap as they did in SWTOR: lock out high tier equipment and in-game money and then demand $$$ from current players to re-enable functionality they had previously.
Thank you for your time!
Or if it proves too expensive to salvage, they might just sink the ship (with the gigant holes in it) already, we'll see.
I think abilities could use a major boost at that level of difficulty because they feel worthless to use. I can free roam around with my Interceptor and do more damage with a legendary gun and a fraction of the damage with a legendary ability. The game has weird difficulty scale when it comes to enemies.

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
Very true, when matchmaking what used to put me in a full party, now just puts me in a party with one other person. I hop in every now and then to see how the changes are.
If nothing else it will remain a reason for people to tryout Origin Access Premier. Treat it like e.g. a new Netflix film or short series - a reason to subscribe for "a month". Over time - if you build up enough content - people may stick around for a little longer. Go f2p and this won't be an option.
The days when EA's CFO described f2p waxed lyrical about f2p are long gone. Money can be made in the same way it can be made from subs or b2p - there are no guarantees though.
I suppose they turned down on the crunch aka "BioWare magic" so the releases are delayed
...
But they better put something out.
This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
Its a long time since a now departed EA CFO said that f2p represented "the road to riches" (I paraphrase). These days f2p is no guarantee of making lots of money.
