I don't think I've been in this much of a hurry to NOT pre-order something. People saying it looks like it has a Dark Souls feel have obviously never played Dark Souls. Game looked clunky af, linear, and generic. Please don't pre-order this shit. You're going to get scammed AGAIN.

Honestly it just looks like "Force Unleashed 3" to me. Which, I mean, isn't bad. But that's also not a high bar.
Digitizing actors is an awful trend, and I hope it doesn't take off. Serious uncanny valley territory with Padawan Joker, there. Forest Whitaker is less creepy, but only just.
Gameplay doesn't look completely awful, but I imagine it will hold my attention about as long as Rise of the Tomb Raider, ~45 minutes.
Its only an alpha build so hopefully they will improve the NPC AI and generally do some improvements to the flow of the game. I will wait at least for a later game play video before I make a decision about the game.
looks good love exploration and plataform , but combat need more polishing , hope the story is good...
the jedi is really young and can control the force like a !$!%! master.
kinda agree that looks linear , and thats not a bad thing , look at the last Tomb Raiders , yeah there is open zone but the story is linear and u follow a trail , puzzles are good but thats it.
If this SW has some puzzles , some open zones , and some big battles, is going to be amazing, we just need some fun combat , if the combat fails or is too easy then meh.
There's still plenty of room for linear, one-and-done singleplayer fare in the games industry. Personally, I find it refreshing to play a few of them per year with all the huge open-world collectathons and online service games released these days. I'm also a Star Wars megafan. so I will almost surely play this at some point, even if it doesn't necessarily scream 'Day 1 Must Buy'.
From what I hear the behind the doors presentation was 10x better then what they showed. Easy Allies heavily criticized the demo we all saw but they were very impressed by the closed doors demo they were shown
I hope so, it wasn´t bad but I am nowhere near excited by this demo. Except the sound, thats some high quality stuff.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

Best part was at the 11 minute mark when he froze the blaster beam then force summoned the trooper who shot it and stuck him in front of it so he ended up dying from his own blaster fire, lol.
Also loved that part. Try and do a play through where you can only kill NPCs with their own weapons.
It looks pretty boring to me. This isn't my style of game really so I probably would not like it in any event. The combat looked clunky to me however, that may be due to the demonstrator using a controller. Hard pass, another IP disappointment.
Yes I will never understand why PC gameplay vids are shown using a controller. EVERY time I see this it throws up major red flags on how good of a port it will be. Lesson learned from DA:I; they never fixed that abomination of a K/M control scheme.
Still on my radar but will wait until actual PC gameplay videos using K/M.

Thought it looked horribly boring & generic, the only thing it had going for it was the Star Wars coat of paint. I was really hoping this was going to be a open world RPG like say Skyrim or Witcher or a Naughty dog/Tomb Raider type adventure puzzle game set in the Star Wars universe. Instead what it looks like we got was a generic on rails 3rd person shooter with a lightsaber
PROS:
- New Star Wars game!! (I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but not so much of the new movies...a story for another time...)
- Sights and sounds of the amazing Star Wars universe and atmosphere are always awesome
- The (seems like) freedom and flexibility to be creative in the usage of our skills and abilities. For example, there were two moments (sorry, too lazy to provide timestamps ;p) that made me feel this way: 1) an enemy shoots a blaster bolt towards us, force slow time is used to slow the enemy AND blaster bolt, enemy is pulled close then moved into the path of the slowed blaster bolt, time is released and the blaster bolt hits the force held enemy; and 2) force pulling an enemy then pushing them onto another to make them both fall down in a heap of trooper bodies (not entirely new, granted, but it looked polished)
- We get more time with (and hopefully more back story of) Saw Guerrera a la Forrest Whittaker! (spelling?)
CONS:
- Rails rails rails!
- As @wizardry pointed out, AI seems woefully lacking at times
- Is it just me, or does the hero's lightsaber hilt and blade both seem a bit...long?
- I've never been a fan of permanent companions / pets you MUST play with, so I didn't like that droid on your back the whole time, but the little guy might grow on me...
Anyways, I'm excited to play it, for sure. Here's hoping that perhaps one day we'll all get a proper MMORPG in the SW Universe (for the record, I loved SWG, and had a blast-turned-love-hate relationship with SWTOR)!!
Looks like more EA Drivel to me. Seriously. I don't want a game that tells me which way I need to go nor how I need to play. And it's the year 2019 why can't we pick the protagonists gender. Since the main character is CLEARLY not in any of the movies they either died or disappeared so what does it matter? It's EA though so all the best stuff will be locked behind extra paid fences.
Hopefully people don't lose their mind over the Alpha footage considering what happened with Anthems "Reveal Trailer". If EA have a hand in it something gonna come along and fuck it all up, I hope i'm not right though.

edit: to be clear I meant no disrespect for Mr Whitaker I enjoyed most everything he is in.

Was about to ask if they modeled the main character after him.
