are there new players still joining

in Everquest

I am considering signing up for everquest again with a new character?  Are there people still out there playing the game?  Are there new players to group with or is everyone at high level?

I really enjoyed playing EQ when I first started many years ago.  I have since played EQ2 DAOC WOW and have not found any game that was as much fun as EQ.

    The only thing I can tell you is this.  I reactivated my account a couple days ago because I want to refresh myself a little before the progression server is opened.  The tutorial is simply rocking out with people.  I can certainly tell that some are vets, but it's also obvious that a lot are complete newbs.

    Me.  I just joined.  
    I bought the Titanium.  I'm going to get the last expansion when I get big enough. 
    Once I got over the graphics (which really aren't all that bad) and realized how much garsh darned stuff is in this game I am loving it.

    I'm going to rejoin once the progressive server is released. I'm not sure if they plan on releaing a seperate game pack for that or I can use what I already have and just select the new server.

    Just picked up the Titanium Edition today to. I was down by 5 expansions on my old account, so I figured I'd just pick that up and have a second account. Now my wife can play as soon as I have our second PC hooked up. But yeah, I figured if I used my old account it would be 15 bucks and for 19 I could catch up on expansions and have a free month to boot. Plus a second account. I have been wanting to play EQ again. So here I go.

    I'm headed back into the game once the progression server starts up.  I think I've been gone for 3 or 4 years so I'm pretty excited to dive back in with a fresh toon.  I'm not looking to drum up nostalgia or to repeat what I had years ago.  I just want to dive back in to make new friends and create new memories.  I'm suprised at how interested and dare I say excited I've become in this game again.

    I had played this game for almost 7 years.  FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I started to lose interest when my RL world changed.  I was not into the grind of large quests/raids. I still check up on forums to keep up with news about the game's progression.  I must admit it's still in my blood.  Maybe I will go back one day.

    This game is in everyones blood who gave it an honest fair shake. I have just read about the progression server that opens on June 28th, and I too am considering restarting this game.

    I finally found a minute to log on to test this morning and got on the Combine.   I am not sure why you can get on as I thought the current Combine was only for name reservation and couldn't be played, but it seems you can play it.  The "beta" server was locked so I didn't get to try that one.

    Anyway, I must say it's a kick already to be back in the old zones with people all over there place.  There were 28 people in Gfay at 8:00 a.m. MST ... seemed like a mix of newbs and vets.  Heck there are already people roaming around buffing and healing others.

    Nothing like already having to med up after a fight with a level 2, lol.  Love it =)

    combine on test is the beta. combine on the live  is for name reservations.

    Atm, there is only one progression server...The Combine....So I imagine that's where people interested will be.
