Some questions

Hello: I have bought Horizons, and it is being shipped. I just have two questions. Going to play on the US servers. So my first question is. Is there a high population on the servers? how is the combat and crafting? is the community good? and how old is the game?

    answer:

you could have downloaded horizons via internet at www.istaria.com.  they do offer a 14 day trial to see if you like it or not.  really i cant believe you actually found a box.  they are like rare nowadays.

currently there are three servers.  all of them have light populations.  tho dont get me wrong the community is great.  if you go on to the roleplaying server you will meet alot of people who will love to roleplay with you.  community is mature as well.

the combat is simple, you pick a monster, you could use special abilities for your class, then you kill him before he kills you.  then you do it again about hundred times until you level.  its better if you are in a group.

the crafting is probably the best in any mmo.  the game is 100% player driven.  so the only place you could get a sword is from another player who makes that sword.

the game released on dec 2003.  so you missed alot of the fun when it first started.

Have played: CoH, DDO EQ2, FFXI, L2, HZ, SoR, and WW2 online

ok. Guess I'll check it out then. I've always thought this game looks fun, but heard that it has little players. But I am not one of those that only cares about population:P

I joined this game about 6 weeks ago, and really love it. The crafting is amazing, and more importantly, the community is great.
I think you'll be pleased to give it a go.Also, don't be afraid to ask lots of questions on the in-game chat channel. There's always players about who can answer questions for you.
