The best MMO on console is the one that makes you realise you need to get a PC and play your MMOs on that.
that would be the worst mmo that makes you pay for overpriced hardware.
Is that even true, it used to be? I tried to do a price comparison but failed to get much in the way of data. All I got was AC costing one dollar more on PC than PS4. So really need some comparisons but I think that per-game costs are much closer than they used to be purely based on a conversation I had with some other players a year back.

I can't vote on an "MMO" pole that contains non-MMO games as it wont be accurate! Can't include Warframe and Destiny on an MMO pole... makes no sense. Thats like including motorcycles on a pole about your favourite sports car. Sure they do similar things but its off topic.
Depends on where you put the emphasis, on "best" or on "console".
Best console MMO is DCUO, hands down. It was the flagship of PS, with the PC version is just a mere afterthought, it was barely playable on PC at launch...
Best MMO you can play on consoles, that's a tougher nut to crack. Very much up for personal tastes I guess. To be honest, none of my main games are on the list, so I'd pick maybe FF XIV.
DCUO was the flagship of the PS because of who developed it; Daybreak Games - former Sony Online Entertainment. Go figure.
ESO is probably the best right now. FFXIV doesn't look that good on console, and it's a PC game shoehorned onto the platform. The UI is awful, and the combat pacing is simply not good. Tab Target does not feel good on a console, and games with EQ2-levels of skill bloat also do not play well. Too many buttons, too much "skill set switching," etc. It feels awful to playl, IMO.
Games like ESO, Tera, and BDO do it better.
I actually think Guild Wars 2 would play well on consoles, but the client has EQ2-levels of bloat and de-optimization, so I wonder if they'd even be able to get it to run acceptably there? It only looks decent if you have a PC that can turn on all those bloom/glow/etc. graphics settings...
I say TERA, it's very good with a controller. I don't say ESO because playing it with a controller, and without mods, is no where near as good as playing it on PC.
People who don't play ESO on a PC don't know and don't care what playing it on a PC is like. So that's 100% ignorable.
A lot of console games lack the MODs and Add-Ins that the PC versions offer. Big F'ing Deal...

Wait, wtf is Switchblade? Time to Google.
Hmm, nothing but lots of knives references, oh, and one link to a poorly received 5 vs 5 shooter on Steam.
Yes, clearly a MMO.
