Greetings, I have played SWG for 3 years, and now I am done. I cancelled my sation Access pass, and removed all games dealing with the evil Empire (SOE). I have resently stumbled upon this forum, and I am glad to see others who feel the same way. I hate the NGE, and support a rollback to Pre-CU. I just wanted to chime in and say hi, and add another voice in the war against the Empire.

Welcome raven5260. This board has recovering SWG addicts, some functional addicts (still playing but hate NGE), and a splattering of fanbois to keep things moving well.
Yes, SOE is well recognized as the vile and corrupt corporation (headed by Darth Smedley and his cronies) that led SWG to the darktimes...the NGE and forever ruined the game many of us once loved. Bitter humor has been the best course of treatment for me....many talented and wonderful posters here.
Please enjoy reading the threads...most are very informative and/or entertaining.

In all seriousness, I'm sorry that you've grown to dislike SWG, but please don't let that turn you into a complete dick. There are people who still like it, like myself, and whatever ill feelings you may have towards SWG or even SOE should not be visited upon the innocent bystanders who merely express a difference of opinions. When you post something like this, I immediately think, "Oh great, here's another angry person who is going to say stupid things and make this forum even more worthless than it already is".
You may be frustrated, but posting those frustrations in a public forum won't make you feel better. The trolls are running the asylum. Don't be one of them.

Especialy the part about Obraik. He's the one who by example taught me that not everyone who likes the NGE is a complete choade. It's been easy to get that impression, considering many of its defenders are quite Pirrglike. Then again... on the side of the pre-CU agitators, there are also some real gems (*coff*Akewlguy*choke*) who might mislead a reader into thinking those of us who dislike the NGE are all leetards and vidiots.
Just read with your mind open and your brain in the "on" position, filter out the mindless noise bits and happy posting to you.

Hating soe just because everyone else does makes no sense, there is a plethora of real reasons out there to hate them, you dont need to try to do it.

Sheep..umm.. how to respon to that? I gave the NGE a fair chance. I kept my mind open, in hopes that SOE will follow though on their promises. Promises which they have failed to keep for the last 3 years. I have played since launch. So I have seen frist hand the deception of the Dev's, form the begining. It has been posted here, the history of SOE and the fall of SWG, so i am not going to go into it here. Despite the unfilled primises of the Dev's, pre-cu SWG was still fun to play. Infact it was the best time i had ever had in online gameing....And so i am a Sheep because i want that back? the EVIL EMPIRE (SOE) is a METAPHOR for how i feel. I repect those who still enjoy the game. Have fun if you still like it... I was not, and have not had any fun playing the NGE...if that makes me a sheep... than Bahhhh
